  • Patent number: 9114517
Abstract: A nailing device of the present invention includes a main body, a magazine and a nail pusher. The magazine is disposed in the main body for nail units to be seated thereon. The nail pusher is slidably straddled on the magazine to push the nail units forward. The nail pusher has a first side and a second side. Two slanted guiding portions are frontward and outward extended from the two sides respectively, so that the two slanted guiding portions diverge toward a direction nail units being pushed forward. The slanted guiding portions have two guiding surfaces facing each other to guide and position staples, so that centers of different staples of different sizes can locate at the same position.

  • Publication number: 20140335525
Abstract: The present invention is related to an improved method for HER2 gene test by using quantitative real-time PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) technique. Our invention streamlines test process, and incorporates quality control for each major step, including sample, reagent, operation, and data report. We eliminate the need for reference genes which is hard to standardize in HER2 PCR test. We develop a cutoff reference point by using the statistical mean of tumor tissue population, and adopt a simplified scoring scheme for evaluation of HER2 status. Our invention produces consistent result across machines and labs, and has proven to be clinically successful in HER2 test.

  • Patent number: 8695860
Abstract: A nail guiding structure of the present invention is disposed inside of the nail gun having a nail rail. The nail guiding structure includes one or more supporting members and a holding mechanism. The supporting member can move between a first and a second position, wherein the supporting member can move toward the first position to elastically push nails in the air gun, so that the nails can be vertically held in front of the nail rail. The holding mechanism can selectively hold the supporting member, so that the supporting cannot move back to the second position. Thereby, a user can move the holding mechanism to adapt for different thicknesses of nails. Only one nail can move to the front of the nail rail every time when a punching board of the nail gun punches. Consequently, the problems of nail jamming or crookedly stapling are prevented.

  • Patent number: 8667224
Abstract: Described are techniques for processing a data operation in a data storage system. A front-end component of the data storage system receives the data operation. In response to receiving the data operation, the front-end component performs first processing. The first processing includes determining whether the data operation is a read operation requesting to read a data portion which results in a cache miss; and if said determining determines that the data operation is a read operation resulting in a cache miss, performing read miss processing. Read miss processing includes sequential stream recognition processing performed by the front-end component to determine whether the data portion is included in a sequential stream.

  • Publication number: 20130174234
Abstract: Aspects of the subject matter described herein relate to credential synchronization. In aspects, an entity may have access to resources on two or more systems. After the entity's credentials are changed on a first system, the first system updates the credentials on a second system so that the entity can access resources on the second system using the new credentials. The first system maintains a mapping data structure that maps between the credentials data of the two systems. The first system may obtain credential requirements from the second system and provide these requirements in conjunction with receiving a request to change credentials so that a user changing the credentials may satisfy both systems.

  • Patent number: 8429351
Abstract: Described are techniques for processing a data operation in a data storage system. A front-end component receives the data operation to read a data portion. In response to receiving the data operation, the front-end component performs first processing. The first processing includes determining whether the data operation is a read operation resulting in a cache hit to a prefetched data portion of a sequential stream, and if said determining determines that said data operation results in a cache hit to a prefetched data portion, performing processing in connection with prefetching additional data for said sequential stream. The processing includes determining whether to prefetch additional data for said sequential stream and, if so, an amount of additional data to prefetch. The processing uses one or more criteria to determine one or more of an amount of data to prefetch in a single prefetch request and a track ahead parameter.
