    Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) package including ICs with multi-row columnar die interconnects has increased die-to-die (D2D) interconnect density in a conductive layer. Positioning the die interconnects in die interconnect column clusters, that each include a plurality of die interconnect rows and two columns, reduces the linear dimension occupied by the die interconnects and leaves room for more D2D interconnects. A die interconnect column cluster pitch is a distance between columns of adjacent die interconnect column clusters and this distance is greater than a die interconnect pitch between columns within the column clusters. Die interconnects may be disposed in the space between the multi-row column clusters and additional die interconnects can be disposed at the D2D interconnect pitch between the die interconnect column clusters. IC packages with ICs including the multi-row columnar die interconnects have a greater number of D2D interconnects for better IC integration.

    Abstract: A method for creating a new germplasm of a male sterile crop by gene editing and an application thereof are provided. In this method, the gene editing is performed on an exon region of a Ty-5 gene, and a deletion of DNA sequence is introduced by using a repair mechanism of plants themselves to double-strand breaks (DSBs), causing a loss of function of Ty-5 gene, thereby obtaining a male-sterile character. The method can be applied without being limited by crop categories. After the gene editing is performed on Ty-5 genes of various crops, new germplasms can be quickly obtained. The new germplasms have the same agronomic characters as the previous materials, and only differ in sexual aspect, which effectively solves the problem of the lack of male sterile materials and unstable fertility in natural resources.

    Abstract: The embodiments herein provide methods to analyze the in vitro stability of recalcitrant or membrane-bound proteins in simulated gastric fluid (SGF) comprising the proteolytic enzyme, pepsin, and in combination with a novel pepsin-trypsin assay employing state-of-the-art mass spectrometric approaches, such as LC-MS/MS, to monitor the precise degradation products. The extent of protein digestion can be evaluated by the appearance of peptic products and the disappearance of tryptic peptide products (as a proxy for intact protein). The embodiments herein also provide methods for protein quantitation using high-sensitivity LC-MRM-MS quantification. The methods embodied herein are particularly useful in charactering proteins produced in transgenic plants, such as canola genetically engineered to produce long chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids.
