  • Publication number: 20200380172
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, that protect analytics for resources of a publisher from traffic directed to such resources by malicious entities. An analytics server receives a first message that includes an encrypted token and analytics data for a publisher-provided resource. The token includes a portion of the analytics data and a trust score indicating a likelihood that activity on the resource is attributed to a human (rather than an automated process). The analytics server decrypts the token. The analytics server determines a trustworthiness measure for the analytics data included in the first message based on the trust score (in the decrypted token) and a comparison of the analytics data in the first message and the portion of the analytics data (in the decrypted token). Based on the measure of trustworthiness, the analytics server performs analytics operations using the analytics data.

  • Publication number: 20200381753
Abstract: The disclosed technology is generally directed to fuel cells. In one example of the technology, a fuel cell stack that includes an anode and a cathode causes a load to be driven. A control subsystem is measures at least one characteristic associated with the load, and to provide at least one control signal based, at least in part, on the at least one characteristic. An oxidizing agent input subsystem provides an oxidizing agent to the cathode of the fuel cell stack. A fuel input subsystem provides gaseous fuel to the anode of the fuel cell stack. The fuel input subsystem includes a fuel pump that is arranged to pump the gaseous fuel into the fuel input subsystem. A fuel-side high-speed valve adjusts mass flow of the gaseous fuel to the cathode of the fuel cell stack based on at least a first control signal of the at least one control signal.

  • Patent number: 10846378
Abstract: A method for monitoring user activity in respect of a plurality of applications on a computing device. The method comprises storing, by a first application running on the computing device, a first timestamp indicating the time that user activity was last detected with respect to the first application. The first application receives a message from a second application running on the computing device. The message comprises a second timestamp indicating the time that user activity was last detected with respect to the second application. The first application updates the first timestamp based on the second timestamp when the time indicated by the second timestamp is later than the time indicated by the first timestamp. Thus, user activity across the plurality of application can be monitored, such that an inactivity timer running on a particular application in the group of applications can account for user activity with respect to the other application in the plurality.

  • Publication number: 20200365920
Abstract: Techniques of deploying fuel cells in a facility are described herein. In one embodiment, a method includes identifying a location of the receptacle at the facility that the fuel cell is connected upon detecting the fuel connector of the second side of the carrier being coupled to a fuel port at a receptacle at the facility. The method can then include generating and storing, in a database, a fuel cell record indicating that the fuel cell is physically connected to the receptacle at the identified location in the facility and instructing a control device in the facility corresponding to the identified location to provide fuel to the fuel cell via the fuel port, the fuel connector, the connection between the first side and the second side of the carrier, and the fuel inlet of the fuel cell.

  • Patent number: 10841330
Abstract: The invention utilizes a two-component system to detect third party security threats and drive improved security threat mitigation based on the detection. The first component of the system is a security threat assessment engine, which receives and/or identifies external data and internal data regarding third parties in order to determine information security threats posed by third-parties. The second component of the system is an analytics engine, which may comprise a machine learning component which is configured to detect threat patterns and anomalies. In response to the detection of the threat patterns and anomalies the security threat assessment engine may be modified in order to more accurately determine security threats. The system after identifying a security threat, generates a notification associated with the security threat and transfers the notification to a first set of third parties that may be affected by the security threat.

  • Patent number: 10838761
Abstract: A method of managing a plurality of applications on a computing device. The method comprises receiving, by a first application running on the computing device, a lock message comprising a timestamp and a digital signature associated with the timestamp, from a second application miming on the computing device. Upon receipt of the lock message, the first application verifies the digital signature to confirm the authenticity of the timestamp. Once the timestamp has been confirmed by the first application, the first application locks the first application. Accordingly, a lock event with respect to an application in the plurality of applications can be propagated to other applications in the plurality of applications.

  • Patent number: 10815440
Abstract: A solids circulation system receives a gas stream containing char or other reacting solids from a first reactor. The solids circulation system includes a cyclone configured to receive the gas stream from the first reactor, a dipleg from the cyclone to a second reactor, and a riser from the second reactor which merges with the gas stream received by the cyclone. The second reactor has a dense fluid bed and converts the received materials to gaseous products. A conveying fluid transports a portion of the bed media from the second reactor through the riser to mix with the gas stream prior to cyclone entry. The bed media helps manipulate the solids that is received by the cyclone to facilitate flow of solids down the dipleg into the second reactor. The second reactor provides additional residence time, mixing and gas-solid contact for efficient conversion of char or reacting solids.

  • Patent number: 10820063
Abstract: A method receives a manifest for video requested by a client device. The manifest including links for different versions of the video for the client device to use to request segments of the different versions of the video based on conditions detected by the client device. A placeholder in the manifest is selected based on a configuration specifying the placeholder as a trigger to insert alternate content into the manifest. The method then selects a metadata payload based on the configuration specifying the placeholder and a source of the metadata payload and dynamically inserts the metadata payload into the manifest at a position based on the placeholder. The metadata payload is added with an identifier from the configuration that identifies the metadata payload to the client device. The manifest is outputted with the metadata payload for use by the client device while playing the video.
