  • Publication number: 20200314493
Abstract: A video content sequencing system includes at least one processor and a memory coupled to the at least one processor. The memory stores instructions that, upon execution, cause the at least one processor to, in response to input from an operator, identify a first video identifier of a first entry of the video catalog that corresponds to a requested video identifier of a schedule request. The input includes the schedule request including: (i) a request type, (ii) the requested video identifier, (iii) a requested date, and (iv) a requested time. The instructions further cause the at least one processor to schedule a first video associated with the first video identifier to be automatically displayed from a first source identifier associated with the first video identifier on a channel by adding the first video identifier to the schedule at the requested time on the requested date included in the schedule request.

  • Patent number: 10748224
Abstract: A continuously growing physical structure may be generated by identifying a plurality of metrics associated with the physical structure. The plurality of metrics may include at least one of a shape of available physical space, a size of available physical space, a type of soil/earth of a location of the physical structure, a context of use of the physical structure, a climate of the location, or availability of resources associated with the location. The plurality of metrics may be analyzed to determine at least one of a rate of growth of the physical structure or a most suitable shape of the physical structure. Growth of the physical structure may then be generated according to at least one of the determined rate of growth of the physical structure or the determined most suitable shape of the physical structure. The identified plurality of metrics may then be monitored periodically.

  • Patent number: 10728122
Abstract: A social networking system may provide user metrics for unknown dimensions to an external system using received hash codes from user devices performing actions on the external system. Embodiments of the invention receive hash codes generated by external systems that are embedded in redirect Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) that are executed by user devices. The social networking system may match the received hash codes to identifying information about users, e.g., user identifiers. The user profile information may be reported to external systems based on hash codes in an aggregated format without disclosing identifying information about users. In one embodiment, a hash code may include identifying information of an administrator of an external system to enable the administrator to merge information about users of the social networking system with other unknown dimensions of information about the users that is known by the external system.

  • Patent number: 10726050
Abstract: Users of a social networking system are assigned to households using prediction models that rely, in part, on user profile information and social graph data. Information about users may be received by a social networking system through various channels (e.g., declared/profile information, user history, IP addresses, Global Positioning System (GPS) data from check-in events and/or continuously provided by mobile devices, external household information, and/or social information). Scoring models may use statistical analysis of the received user information to predict household membership for users. User attributes, such as previous names, date of birth, social graph data, locations, life events, and check-ins, may be factors in generating confidence scores of predicted household memberships. Weighted scoring models may use machine learning methods for measuring the accuracy of the household membership prediction.

  • Publication number: 20200234202
Abstract: Improving the operations of a computer system that is located within a power grid and that is associated with its own power sources. Past operational characteristics of the power grid are analyzed to derive learned characteristics for the power grid. Future operational characteristics of the power grid are also monitored. A prediction regarding a future load event associated with the power grid is then generated using the learned characteristics and the monitored characteristics. In response to this prediction, one or more operations are performed to balance the computer system with the power grid during the future load event, and to ensure a determined availability of services associated with the computer system during the future load event.
