The method also includes determining a status of a locomotive pre-trip or departure test using the processor and operating an interlock based on the status of the pre-trip or departure test, wherein the interlock is configured to regulate an operating speed of the locomotive.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are described herein for hash-based file comparison. In accordance with the concepts and technologies disclosed herein, a comparison tool is configured to compare hash values in a first hash list associated with a first file to hash values in a second hash list corresponding to a second file. The hash values are computed for functional blocks of the respective files and therefore can be compared to indicate if the functional blocks of the two files match one another. If the hash values match, the functional blocks associated with the respective hash values can be determined to match, while hash values that do not match can indicate that the corresponding functional blocks do not match one another.

Abstract: The method and system of the present invention provides an improved technique for integrated asset management. Information is aggregated from a variety of sources into a centralized computerized database. Thereafter, asset transition events are scheduled. Information from the centralized computerized database is used in the performance of the asset transition events and information relating to the asset transition events is added to the centralized computerized database. Subsequent changes to the asset are also recorded into the centralized computerized database. As a result, a plethora of information is available within said database for the purpose of managing future asset transition events.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for simultaneous attitude maneuver and momentum dumping. The attitude maneuver is performed using nominal wheel control to minimize propellant usage, while applying a momentum management command to the thruster control loop in order for the wheels to accomplish the desired spacecraft maneuver while simultaneously being reset to a de-saturated target state. The system and method involve a wheel system comprised of reaction wheels and/or a control moment gyroscope (CMG), at least one thruster, and control logic that is in communication with the wheel system and thruster(s). If a spacecraft maneuver is in progress, the control logic biases an error input signal to a thruster control loop to track the wheel maneuver to prevent unnecessary propellant consumption. The control logic is further operable to output thruster torque commands and wheel torque commands that accomplish the maneuver while achieving the desired final momentum target.

Abstract: The present application discloses an impact liner system for a helmet. In one embodiment, the impact liner system comprises an impact liner configured to be installed in the interior of a helmet shell to at least partially line the front, rear, and middle portions of the helmet shell. The impact liner comprises a plurality of impact pads and forms a plurality of air channels between the impact pads when the impact liner is installed in the helmet shell. In certain embodiments, at least one insert is disposed within one or more of the plurality of air channels. The insert generally comprises a body portion having a top and vertical side walls configured to prohibit at least a portion of the air channel from collapsing when the helmet shell is installed on a user's head.

Abstract: A connector system is disclosed for connecting an exhaust extraction system to the exhaust pipe of an internal combustion engine. The connector system comprises a first flange, which can be connected to the exhaust pipe of the engine. A second flange is connected to a conduit through which exhaust fumes are evacuated. The first and second flanges can have mating tapered surfaces, to facilitate alignment of the second flange relative to the first flange. The second flange preferably comprises magnets for providing a secure connection between the first flange and the second flange, while enabling quick release of the connection. The magnets are preferably arranged in an asymmetric configuration.

The sensor is operable to emit a signal corresponding to at least one physical condition. The apparatus also includes a processor operably engaged with the engine and the sensor. The processor is operable to receive the signal from the sensor and change the operation of the engine in response to the signal to change a speed of the fan.
