    Abstract: A nanowires/microscale pyramids (NWs/MPs) substrate complex structure is formed with a plurality of pyramids. Each triangular surface of the pyramid is formed with nanowires to increase the contact area. In one application, anti-epithelial-cell adhesion-molecule (anti-EpCAM) antibodies are modified on the nanowires. The anti-EpCAM antibodies serve to capture circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in blood for determining whether the cancer cells have metastasized to other organs. In another application, the nanowires are modified with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) which can be combined with other functional groups for testing. The AgNPs on the NWs/MPs substrate causes the NWs/MPs substrate to become a substrate with surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). The AgNPs are bound with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) probe DNA which can be hybridized with EBV target DNAs so as to determine the concentration of the EBV target DNAs in blood. The methods for fabricating the substrate and its applications are also provided.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a coating composition, which includes: (A) a polysiloxane resin, including a unit derived from a siloxane monomer, a siloxane oligomer, or a combination thereof; and (B) inorganic particles, including first SiO2 particles with a particle size ranging from 15 nm to 100 nm, and second SiO2 particles with a particle size ranging from 3 nm to <15 nm. The present invention further relates to a coating layer for enhancing light transmittance that is formed by the coating composition. According to the present invention, by using at least two types of inorganic particles with specific particle sizes to form a geometric stack, the space of pores can be increased, and therefore, the porosity of the coating layer can be increased, thereby reducing the optical refractive index of the coating layer and achieving an effect of enhancing light transmittance.

The screw base is screwed to a screwed tube and has a throughhole. The moveable rod assembly has a push rod moveable to penetrate through the throughhole and a return spring flexibly held between the screw base and the push rod having a second piercing member. When pressed, the push rod drives the second piercing member to pierce one of two air bottles and then moves the other towards the first piercing member to be pierced.

The first and second semiconductor layers have different material compositions. A dummy gate stack is formed over an uppermost first semiconductor layer. A first etching process is performed to remove portions of the second semiconductor layer that are not disposed below the dummy gate stack, thereby forming a plurality of voids. The first etching process has an etching selectivity between the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer. Thereafter, a second etching process is performed to enlarge the voids.
