  • Publication number: 20030183280
Abstract: In corrective control system and method for a liquid pressure control apparatus for a control valve unit, fundamental maps are preset on the basis of a hysteresis characteristic, the hysterisis characteristic being exhibited in such a manner that an output liquid pressure actually measured value which takes along a first hysterisis loop when the current value is increased toward a larger value is different from that which takes along a second hysterisis loop when the current value is, in turn, decreased toward a smaller value from the larger value and the fundamental maps uses a relationship on a derived first-order function at a lower output pressure side than a linear region of the hysterisis characteristic.

  • Publication number: 20020129854
Abstract: In a two-way solenoid vale, a small diameter portion of a nozzle portion is fitted in a small diameter portion receiving part communicating with an output pressure oil passage and a large diameter portion is fitted in a large diameter portion receiving part communicating with a supply pressure oil passage. An opening of a through-hole formed in the nozzle portion faces the output pressure oil passage by way of the small diameter portion receiving part, and an inner end of the through-hole is opened and closed by a plunger and communicates with a drain port. An orifice port communicating with the through-hole is opened to the large diameter portion receiving part and communicates with the supply pressure oil passage. Since the orifice port is disposed in the solenoid valve, a separate plate for an orifice is not required, oil passage is simplified and the solenoid valve can be installed in an optional position.

  • Patent number: 6098482
Abstract: An oil pressure supply path to a transmission is changed over using a spool valve comprising a spool which displaces in conjunction with a selector lever of the transmission. The displacement of the spool is detected by an inhibitor switch. By supporting the inhibitor switch directly by the spool valve, the spool displacement position and inhibitor switch output signal always precisely correspond. Therefore, it is unnecessary to adjust the relative position of the spool valve and inhibitor switch unlike the case where these members are supported separately in the transmission.

  • Patent number: 6089118
Abstract: A shifting device for an automatic transmission of a vehicle has a manual shift mode which permits a driver to manually change a speed ratio by displacing a shift lever in an upshift direction or a downshift direction in a manual operation lane from its neutral position. The shifting device is provided with a switch for detecting that the shift lever has moved to the manual operation lane, a switch for detecting that the shift lever has moved in the upshift direction from its neutral position, and a switch for detecting that the shift lever has moved in the downshift direction from its neutral position. All these three switches comprise a traveling contact and two contacts. The traveling contacts of the three switches are earthed, and the six contacts of the three switches are respectively connected to six input terminals of a control unit. Due to this, the control unit can determine a fault in any of the switches based on the signals input into the input terminals.

  • Patent number: 6073072
Abstract: Described are apparatus and method for monitoring revolution speed values detected by corresponding revolution speed sensors too determine whether at least any one of an engine revolution speed sensor, a continuously variable transmission input axle revolution speed sensor, and a continuously variable transmission output axle revolution speed sensor has failed according to detected values of the engine revolution speed sensor, the input axle revolution speed sensor, and the output axle revolution speed sensor and a detected value of an instantaneous gear shift ratio when a lock-up mechanism is in a lock-up state. If all of three formulae on predetermined correlations are established, all of the sensors are determined to be normally operated. If any one or two of the three formulae are not established, the failure one of the three sensors is identified. The three correlation formulae are based as follows: 1) N.sub.E =N.sub.PRI ; 2) N.sub.PRI =N.sub.SEC .times.CN; and 3) N.sub.E =N.sub.PRI .times.C.sub.

An upshift signal input terminal and a downshift signal input terminal are provided in a control unit. Upshift signals transmitted from an upshift switch of a selector and a steering switch on a steering wheel are input into the upshift signal input terminal, and downshift signals transmitted from a downshift switch of the selector and the steering switch on the steering wheel are input into the downshift signal input terminal. In this way, the number of input terminals of the control unit is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6051950
Abstract: A positional determination device which is drived according to the pulse signals output to a stepping motor 1 and displaces a nut 2 to a position corresponding to the degree of rotation. In order to adjust the initializing position of a feed mechanism, the stepping motor 1 is rotated and the nut 2 displaces until it reaches the limiting position (LimA) defined by the stopper 3a. When initializing, the pattern of temporarily stopping the stepping motor 1 for a period corresponding to a pulse number (N2) at each pulse number (N1) and rotating is repeated. As a result the rotations of the stepping motor 1 become gentle and even if the nut 2 were to collide with the stopper 3a at the limiting position, the reverse rotation of the stepping motor 1 can be prevented and accurate adjustment of the initializing device can be performed.

  • Patent number: 6032519
Abstract: A throttle opening degree detection apparatus installed to an engine of a vehicle comprises a idle-up section which directly changes a throttle value opening degree to improve an engine starting characteristic under an engine cold condition and a sensor device which detects the operation of the idle-up section. The apparatus further includes a first learning section which updates a full close reference value under inoperative condition of the idle-up section and a second learning section which updates the full close reference value under idle-up section operating condition. The apparatus calculates a throttle opening degree on the basis of a difference between a throttle detection signal of a throttle sensor and the full close reference value.

  • Patent number: 5969940
Abstract: Provided is a mechanical structure, for an information handling unit in which are included one or more exchangeable electric components, whose interior is enclosed by a box. The box has: an exchange opening formed for a replacement of an exchangeable electric component; and a lid for engaging the exchange opening and for contacting the exchangeable electric component. According to the present invention, the heat releasing effect can be enhanced with no deterioration of the ease with which a heat generating component can be exchanged. In addition, the present invention can be embodied as a relatively simple mechanical structure, and manufacturing costs can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 5964813
Abstract: A vehicle diagnostic information storage system includes a volatile storage device such as a backup RAM and a nonvolatile storage device such as EEPROM. If a fault occurs, a control section stores data on fault items, and input and output conditions of sensors of a vehicle control system, in the volatile storage device and updates the data in the volatile storage device during a vehicle operation. In response to a switching operation of a vehicle main switch such as a turn-on operation of an ignition switch, the control section transfers the most recent version of updated data from the volatile storage device to the nonvolatile storage device.
