  • Patent number: 7373648
Abstract: A recording and/or reproducing apparatus has a disk transfer mechanism, a mechanical chassis lifting/lowering mechanism, and a gear switching mechanism. The disk transfer mechanism transfers a disk onto a disk table with a motor. The disk transfer mechanism has a rotation transmitting assembly having a gear train including a swing gear and another gear. The mechanical chassis lifting/lowering mechanism lifts and lowers a mechanical chassis with respect to the disk, which is transferred onto the disk table by the disk transfer mechanism. The gear switching mechanism brings the swing gear out of mesh with the other gear of the gear train after the disk is transferred onto the disk table by the disk transfer mechanism, thereby preventing the disk transfer mechanism from being actuated by the motor, and actuating the mechanical chassis lifting/lowering mechanism with the motor.

  • Publication number: 20080066987
Abstract: A motorcycle is provided with a rear fork attached to a body frame so as to swing up and down freely. A rear wheel is attached to the rear end portion of the rear fork, a gear case is attached to a side of the rear wheel, and a drive shaft is provided between the gear case and an output shaft of a power unit. The output of the power unit is transmitted to the rear wheel via the drive shaft and the gear case. In the motorcycle, the gear case is supported by a rear-wheel axle provided in the rear end portion of the rear fork. A torque rod, which links an outer periphery portion of the gear case with the rear fork, serves as a stopper for rotation of the gear case. The resulting configuration provides a shaft-drive system that reduces the assembling time of the torque rod, and improves the productivity of the main line.

  • Publication number: 20060160228
Abstract: Provided is a method of measuring a biodegradation rate of a non-natural organic compound in the presence of a biodegradation medium, characterized by including: measuring a concentration of a radioactive carbon isotope 14C in a biodegradation medium; and measuring a biodegradation rate of a non-natural organic compound from a difference between the concentration of 14C in the biodegradation medium and a concentration of 14C in modern carbon. Further, a metal such as iron in the medium can be used as an internal standard. According to the method, a biodegradation rate of a non-natural organic compound can be measured safely, simply, rapidly, and accurately without providing any special measures against radiation.

  • Patent number: 7044490
Abstract: Since a large part of an outer tube is made of light alloy such as aluminum, plating on a surface of the outer tube sometimes peels off. Thus, the surface of the outer tube is generally painted. However, a problem is presented in the external appearance of the outer tube due to painting. A structure of a front fork includes an outer tube into which an inner tube is movably inserted in an axial direction thereof. A stepped part is formed in the outer tube with a third elastic member fitted to the stepped part. A tube cover includes a lower portion which is supported by the third elastic member. Since an outer surface of the tube cover covering the outer tube is plated, the external appearance can be enhanced. Even if the outer tube has a rough surface, light metal castings or forgings can be used.
