  • Patent number: 7044490
Abstract: Since a large part of an outer tube is made of light alloy such as aluminum, plating on a surface of the outer tube sometimes peels off. Thus, the surface of the outer tube is generally painted. However, a problem is presented in the external appearance of the outer tube due to painting. A structure of a front fork includes an outer tube into which an inner tube is movably inserted in an axial direction thereof. A stepped part is formed in the outer tube with a third elastic member fitted to the stepped part. A tube cover includes a lower portion which is supported by the third elastic member. Since an outer surface of the tube cover covering the outer tube is plated, the external appearance can be enhanced. Even if the outer tube has a rough surface, light metal castings or forgings can be used.

  • Patent number: 6901860
Abstract: A recording head moving mechanism has a pair of guide rails fixed to a support member, and a ball screw extending parallel to the guide rails. The ball screw is rotatable by a motor to move a recording head parallel to an axis of a plate cylinder. At an image-recording time, the recording head records an image while being moved at a constant speed by the moving mechanism through a moving region between a recording start position and a recording finish position. After recording the image, the recording head is moved to a retreat position.

  • Publication number: 20050050563
Abstract: A structure on a base plate is simplified, and the thickness of the structure on the base plate is reduced. A disk transfer mechanism includes a housing having a disk slot. A disk is inserted from the disk slot between a base plate and a top panel of the housing. A disk transfer mechanism has a motor and a rotation transmitting assembly for transmitting rotation of the motor to the transfer rollers. The disk transfer mechanism rotates the transfer rollers to transfer the disk onto a disk table. The rotation transmitting assembly includes a base-plate rotation transmitter disposed on the base plate and a top panel rotation transmitter disposed on the top panel. Thus, the components of the rotation transmitting assembly are distributed on the base plate and the top panel.

  • Publication number: 20050050561
Abstract: A recording and/or reproducing apparatus has a disk transfer mechanism, a mechanical chassis lifting/lowering mechanism, and a gear switching mechanism. The disk transfer mechanism transfers a disk onto a disk table with a motor. The disk transfer mechanism has a rotation transmitting assembly having a gear train including a swing gear and another gear. The mechanical chassis lifting/lowering mechanism lifts and lowers a mechanical chassis with respect to the disk, which is transferred onto the disk table by the disk transfer mechanism. The gear switching mechanism brings the swing gear out of mesh with the other gear of the gear train after the disk is transferred onto the disk table by the disk transfer mechanism, thereby preventing the disk transfer mechanism from being actuated by the motor, and actuating the mechanical chassis lifting/lowering mechanism with the motor.

  • Patent number: 6709173
Abstract: A first blade actuating member and a second blade actuating member have pins, respectively. A movable contact member, which is urged to rotate in a counterclockwise direction, has locking arms and a contact piece member. When the first blade actuating member is rotated in the counterclockwise direction in photographing, the movable contact member causes a locking arm of to follow a pin of the first blade actuating member and causes the contact piece portion to come into contact with the contact piece portion of a stationary contact portion to thereby detect an abnormal actuation of the first blade actuating member by offset from normal timing.

  • Patent number: 6683829
Abstract: A disc changer apparatus includes a disc table, reproducing device, a first tray, a second tray, containing device, and movement device. The first tray carries a disc mounted thereon between a loading position at which a disc is loaded and a mounting position at which a disc is mounted on the disc table and between the disc mounting position and a containing position at which a disc is contained. The second tray is engaged with the first tray, to carry the first tray between the disc loading position and the disc mounting position. The containing device stacks and contains the first trays in a stacking direction substantially perpendicular to principal planes of discs mounted on the first trays. The moving device moves at least one of the first trays contained in the containing device in one direction based on the stacking direction, to form a containing space for containing the first tray located at the disc mounting position on the side, opposed to the side of the one direction, of the containing device.

  • Patent number: 6639880
Abstract: An apparatus for recording and/or reproducing a disc-shaped recording medium. A medium is placed on each of a plurality of placement members. The members are stacked and housed in a housing unit. An elevating mechanism elevates the housing unit in the direction almost parallel to the stack direction of the members. A carrying mechanism carries one of the members among a position where a medium can be placed or ejected to/from the member, a position where the member is housed in the housing unit and a position where the medium placed on the member is loaded to the recording and/or reproducing unit. A driving source drives both the carrying mechanism and the elevating mechanism. A switching mechanism selectively supplies a driving force from the driving source to the carrying mechanism and the elevating mechanism. A photodetector detects the presence/absence of the medium on the members in the housing unit.

  • Patent number: 6622680
Abstract: An opening long in the longitudinal direction of a duct wall is formed. The whole of the opening is covered with non-woven fabric, and the lateral width of the opening is set to be not shorter than {fraction (1/20)} of the circumferential length of the duct wall. Alternatively, a porous member is thermally welded with the head of an opening of a small cylindrical portion projecting from the duct wall of a duct body 1, while the duct body is prevented from deformation. In a method for manufacturing the air take duct, a high-melting molded piece is brought into contact with a hot plate so as to be heated. A low-melting molded piece is disposed at a distance from the hot plate so as to be heated by radiation heat from the hot plate.
