  • Publication number: 20140317725
Abstract: When a connection is established between a server and projectors through, a communication command is issued according to UDP-based broadcasting to retrieve connectable projectors through. Thereafter, the projector to be connected is selected and is assigned an IP address to establish the connection. In this manner, a user can easily obtain a connection environment capable of intercommunication between the server and the projector. A TCP/IP communication command is used to input or output image data, ensuring reliable transmission. Since the authentication can be provided using a keyword projected during the connection establishment, it is possible to prevent an unauthorized access to the projector by an outsider.

  • Publication number: 20140298425
Abstract: With a conventional image-display system, a presenter sometimes has difficulty in providing every viewer with an easy-to-see picture. When projecting an image transmitted from a computer operated by the presenter and enabling the viewer to watch the image projected by the projector, the projector receives image data transmitted through two-way communication from the computer operated by the presenter, projects an image represented by the received image data and transmits the received image data to a client computer operated by the viewer through the two-way communication, and the client computer receives the image data transmitted through the two-way communication and displays the image represented by the received image data on its display.

  • Patent number: 8806571
Abstract: A projector system of the present invention includes a projector 10 and a personal computer PC as an information terminal, which communicate with each other via a network connection. The projector 10 generates a password required for establishment of the network connection and projects the password on a screen SC. A user of the personal computer PC inputs the password projected on the screen SC. The password is used for authentication of the network connection between the projector 10 and the personal computer PC and cipher communication therebetween. This arrangement of the present invention enhances the convenience of the projector that is capable of establishing a network connection with the information terminal, while ensuring secrecy of communicating data.

  • Publication number: 20140176610
Abstract: A system consisting of a plurality of terminals storing image data and an image displaying device which are connected with each other through a network capable of two-way communication has the disadvantage of decreasing in throughput on account of slow image data transfer over the network. The image displaying device performs two-way communications with each of the terminals by a communication means at the display device side. Also, the image displaying device acquires image data from a relevant terminal while instructing other terminals to suspend transmission by the image data acquisition controlling means, thereby suspending transmission of image data. The image displaying device displays images by the image displaying means based on the thus acquired image data.

  • Publication number: 20130342576
Abstract: An image display system includes a first projector and a second projector, and makes the first projector and the second projector operate in cooperation with each other to form a single projection image on a common screen. The first projector and the second projector are connected to each other via a signal line. A master control section of the first projector transmits a control signal to a subordinate control section of the second projector. The subordinate control section of the second projector controls a projection section of the second projector based on the control signal. Thus, the controllability of the image display system provided with a plurality of projectors is enhanced.

  • Publication number: 20130169889
Abstract: A projection display apparatus includes an image projecting unit projecting an image, an operation unit as an operation device whose output value changes depending on the amount of operation, a correction amount setting unit changing a keystone correction amount in accordance with an output value of the operation unit, and a keystone correcting unit performing keystone correction on an image to be projected in accordance with the keystone correction amount. A zero reference position in which the keystone correction amount is zero is set in an operation range of the operation unit. The correction amount setting unit sets a dead zone in the operation range such that the dead zone includes the zero reference position and an area surrounding this position, and sets the keystone correction amount to zero in accordance with the output value corresponding to the inside of the dead zone.
