  • Publication number: 20200076244
Abstract: A wireless power transmitting device transmits wireless power signals to a wireless power receiving device. The wireless power receiving device has a rectifier and a wireless power receiving coil that receives wireless power signals. The wireless power transmitting device uses a layer of coils to transmit the wireless power signals. A dielectric layer in the wireless power transmitting device defines a charging surface that receives the wireless power receiving device. A layer of temperature sensors is interposed between the layer of coils and the dielectric layer. Control circuitry in the wireless power transmitting device uses temperature information from the temperature sensors to determine whether a foreign object such as a coin is present on the charging surface.

  • Patent number: 10579817
Abstract: A security framework and methodology is provided which provides front-end security through authentication and authorization, and back-end security through a virtual private data-store created within an insecure environment using existing object-relational mapping (ORM) layers or database drivers. The front-end security utilizes numerous multi-factor authentication metrics and a distributed denial of service (DDoS) cryptographic boundary to proactively attack malicious users using a cryptographic puzzle, and the back-end security provides data encryption and decryption, data privacy, data integrity, key management, pattern monitoring, audit trails and security alerts while simultaneously hiding the complexity behind an identical or similar ORM or database drive application programming interface (API).

  • Patent number: 10572531
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for providing a predictive session-based search engine. A predictive session-based search engine may identify and pre-fetch data from various data sources that is likely to be accessed during a particular session. Data sources may include other search engines, databases, web servers, and other sources of information. A plug-in controller architecture, which may include templates, computer-executable instructions, application programming interface (API) calls, or other information that enables access to a particular data source, may be used to allow the predictive session-based search engine to obtain data from the data sources. The predictive session-based search engine may store and index the data it obtains, and may answer search queries during the session with data that is stored and indexed locally rather than retrieving data from the original sources.

  • Patent number: 10574257
Abstract: An apparatus may include a delta sigma modulator. A first portion of the delta sigma modulator may form a digital predictor while a second portion of the delta sigma modulator may form an analog approximator. An output of the analog approximator may be coupled with a quantizer. The digital predictor, the analog approximator, and the quantizer may form a digitizing loop configured to convert an analog input into a digital output. The digital predictor may be configured to generate, based on a polarity of one or more digital outputs from the quantizer, a digital prediction of an expected amplitude of the analog input. • Patent number: 10572270
Abstract: A processor configured to reduce the amount of time necessary for a mobile device to resume from a hibernation state is described. While in the hibernation state, power to all components of a mobile, except a motion sensor, may be powered off. The processor, upon receiving a signal from a wakeup sensor, causes the mobile device to initiate a transition from the hibernation mode to an awake mode. A validation sensor on the mobile device detects a user contact with the mobile device or user proximity with respect to the mobile device. Upon receiving a validation signal confirming validation of the transition from the hibernation state to the awake state, the processor resumes the transition to the awake mode. In the awake mode the mobile device may detect user input indicative of activating the mobile device. Upon receiving a signal indicating user input to activate the device, the processor may cause the device to become fully active, and ready for user interaction.

  • Patent number: 10568023
Abstract: A radio access network (RAN) may receive a request to establish a call involving a wireless communication device (WCD) served by the RAN. The WCD may receive signals from the RAN, via a plurality of wireless coverage areas, at respective signal strengths. A set of n wireless coverage areas may be selected from the plurality of wireless coverage areas to support communications related to the call, where n is at least 2. A service option to use for the call may be determined, where the service option indicates a call type. Based on the indicated call type, at least one wireless coverage area may be removed from the set of n wireless coverage areas. The call may be established between the RAN and the WCD.

  • Publication number: 20200051328
Abstract: A cross reality system that provides an immersive user experience by storing persistent spatial information about the physical world that one or multiple user devices can access to determine position within the physical world and that applications can access to specify the position of virtual objects within the physical world. Persistent spatial information enables users to have a shared virtual, as well as physical, experience when interacting with the cross reality system. Further, persistent spatial information may be used in maps of the physical world, enabling one or multiple devices to access and localize into previously stored maps, reducing the need to map a physical space before using the cross reality system in it. Persistent spatial information may be stored as persistent coordinate frames, which may include a transformation relative to a reference orientation and information derived from images in a location corresponding to the persistent coordinate frame.

  • Publication number: 20200042418
Abstract: Technologies are disclosed that help developers determine server resource usage caused by client application generated events. Embodiments may be employed while an application is under development to balance the benefit of a given event with an estimated cost to process the event once the application is deployed. One aspect of the present disclosure provides a telemetry application that receives application generated events and estimates a resource cost they cause to data collection servers. The resource cost may be based on historic data captured from similar or related events, as well as data about how often the event and related events are raised by the application.
