Abstract: A joint clamp for a surgical retractor system includes a knob, a lower clamp, one or more upper clamps between the lower clamp and the knob, and a bolt that passes through the one or more upper clamps. The lower clamp includes a spring, an upper portion, a lower portion pivotally coupled to the upper portion, and a clamping passage that passes laterally through the upper and lower portions of the lower clamp. The bolt includes a bolt upper portion coupled to the knob and a lower portion secured to the upper portion of the lower clamp. The spring exerts a biasing force on the lower portion of the lower clamp that pivots threads of the lower clamp toward the upper portion of the lower clamp.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a test card including at least one fluid inlet port, at least one microchannel, and a plurality of target zones, where the test card is configured to perform a plurality of assays in the plurality of target zones. Also described herein is a method of using the test card to perform a plurality of assays on a fluid sample in the plurality of target zones.

Abstract: Robotic systems, methods, and devices for grappling and actuating a pay load are provided. A robotic end effector device includes a grapple mechanism for capturing and rigidizing a pay load through a grapple fixture. The grapple mechanism grapples a probe of the grapple fixture and retracts the probe to bring a first coupling element of the grapple fixture into mating connection with a second coupling element on the grapple mechanism. Each coupling element includes a plurality of radially-disposed teeth and notches which are configured to mate with the notches of the other coupling element. The grapple mechanism includes a pay load present sensor for sensing the probe is present in the grapple mechanism to initiate grappling and a calibration sensor for tracking position of a moving component of the grapple mechanism. Retraction of the moving component is stopped at a target preload position based on the position tracking.

Abstract: Computing devices, platforms, methods, and storage media for providing data access are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: obtain a device authorization token granting a computing device authenticated access to real-time equity quotes when the computing device is in an unauthenticated state; transmit, to a quote access server, an authorized quote access request specifying one or more equities for which one or more real-time equity quotes are requested; receive, from the quote access server, the one or more real-time equity quotes associated with the one or more equities; and provide, in the unauthenticated state, the one or more real-time equity quotes associated with the one or more equities. Example implementations make it simpler and easier to view real-time quotes, for example with a single swipe/gesture and without opening a financial institution app or logging in to a website hosted by a financial institution.

The first encoded video stream may be decoded into a first decoded video stream that includes a first video of the first live sporting event, which may be displayed by a display device along with first wager information to facilitate a user placing a wager on the first live sporting event. In response to receiving an instruction to display a second video of a second live sporting event, a second encrypted video signal may be decrypted into a second decrypted video signal that includes a second encoded video stream of the second live sporting event. The second encoded video stream may be decoded into a second decoded video stream that includes the second video of the second live sporting event.

Abstract: A system may selectively deliver interactive portions of a piece of content, based for example on a recipient user's historical tendency to use interactive portions of prior content. Multiple levels of interactivity may be defined for a given piece of content, such as an advertisement, and different users may receive different levels of interactivity based on how much they use interactive features. Some users may receive no interactive features at all, while others may receive the interactive features, and despite the fact that all of the users' devices may be perfectly capable of processing the interactive features for the user. The omission from transmission may conserve bandwidth and transmission resources.

Abstract: A method of cleaning a chamber for an electronics manufacturing system includes flowing a gas mixture comprising oxygen and a carrier gas into a remote plasma generator. The method further includes generating a plasma from the gas mixture by the remote plasma generator and performing a remote plasma cleaning of the chamber by flowing the plasma into an interior of the chamber, wherein the plasma removes a plurality of organic contaminants from the chamber.

Abstract: The technology described herein provides an automated software-testing platform that functions in an undefined action space. The technology described herein starts with an undefined action space but begins to learn about the action space through random exploration. Both the action taken during testing and the resulting state may be communicated to a centralized testing service. The technology described herein also mines the action telemetry data and state telemetry data to identify action patterns that produce a sought after result. Once a plurality of action patterns is identified and, at least, a partial model of the action space is built, the testing on the test machines may be split into random test mode, replay test mode, and a pioneering test mode.

The beverage dispenser may include a number of adjacent dispensing valves with each of the dispensing valves including a nozzle and a contactless dispensing valve system. Abstract: An automated teller machine (ATM) has a display and a wireless communication interface. The ATM may detect a proximity of a mobile computing device and exhibit on its display an indication of the proximity of mobile computing device to the ATM. The ATM may also be configured to detect when the mobile computing device and the ATM have established a wireless communication connection and display a visual cue on the display that the wireless connection has been established. The ATM is configured to synchronize the display of the ATM with a display of the mobile computing device. The displays may be synched temporally and positionally and may display the same or related content, such as an image or animation at the same time.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for brewing a desired portion of a beverage, such as a single-cup portion of coffee, are provided. The system can include one or more hopper assemblies configured to provide a controlled dose of beverage material to a brew chamber. The system can also include a water input system configured to wet the ground beverage material as the grinds enter the brew chamber and substantially prevent steam from reaching grinder components of the system. Further, the system can include an automatic cleaning mechanism such that a user does not need to manually clean components of a brewing machine between brew cycles.

Abstract: A media retention plate for an underdrain system having one or more filter blocks. The plate can include a first slot configured to allow the passage of air and a second slot configured to allow the passage of water during an air backwash. The media retention plate is configured to facilitate the water to flow back into the one or more filter blocks through the second slot while maintaining air flow through the first slot to create an optimal collapse pulse. The first and second slots are evenly sized and evenly spaced apart to facilitate the creation of a relatively smaller-sized collapse pulse during a sequential air-water backwash. A plurality of inserts can be arranged along a perimeter of a basal portion of the bottom surface of the media retention plate. The inserts improve the structural integrity of and prevent uplift of the media retention plate.

Abstract: Distributed shared memory (DSMEM) comprises blocks of memory that are distributed or scattered across a processor (such as a GPU). Threads executing on a processing core local to one memory block are able to access a memory block local to a different processing core. In one embodiment, shared access to these DSMEM allocations distributed across a collection of processing cores is implemented by communications between the processing cores. Such distributed shared memory provides very low latency memory access for processing cores located in proximity to the memory blocks, and also provides a way for more distant processing cores to also access the memory blocks in a manner and using interconnects that do not interfere with the processing cores' access to main or global memory such as hacked by an L2 cache.

This new variety is unique from its parent cultivars in the solid red blush coloration of the fruit, the intense red coloration of the leaf petiole, the bright red blush of the blossom buds and the fruit ripening period which is 5 days ahead of the parent and other Gala.
