  • Patent number: 12251114
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to devices, systems and methods adapted for implementing intermittent displacement of blood to mitigate peripheral nerve neuropathy such as that induced by chemotherapeutic agents (i.e., chemotherapy-induced neuropathy (CIN)) that are administered to a patient. Such devices, systems and methods advantageously provide for precise, uniform and controlled blood flow occluding (and optionally blood displacing) compression along irregular surfaces of an appendage of a patient. Such precise, uniform and controlled blood occluding compression is imparted upon the epidermal and dermis skin layers within the aforementioned areas of a patient's extremities to decrease the time that free nerve endings located in the epidermal and encapsulated nerve endings located in the dermis skin layers are exposed to nerve damaging chemotherapy chemicals, thereby substantially decreasing CIN caused by prolonged exposure to such chemicals.

  • Publication number: 20250085271
Abstract: Provided herein are systems, devices, and methods for performing optical multianalyte detection in a sample, such as a human blood sample. The system processes sample in a single-use support pack that holds the blood sample and contains pipette tips, buffers, reagent preparation wells and a monolayer. Sample is transferred from the sample pack to a single-use disc consumable that contains microwells pre-filled with dried chemistries, plasma separation features, and a hematocrit channel. The instrument comprises a cell imager, an absorbance module comprising a spectrophotometer, a fluorescent laser scanning module, and a camera. The system uses only a small amount of blood from a single heparinized sample, to simultaneously provide results for a full panel of routine blood tests spanning elecochemistry, clinical chemistry, hematology, immunoassays and combinations thereof.

  • Publication number: 20250086504
Abstract: A machine learning algorithm can be trained to process signals received from a non-invasive sensor to determine an analyte. The machine learning algorithm can be a neural network trained using data obtained from the non-invasive sensor and associated analyte detection results from another sensor. The features of the data can be smoothed using a Savitzky-Golay filter, scaled, and the feature space can also be reduced, such as by Gaussian random projection. The training of the algorithm can be tested using other data obtained from the non-invasive sensor and associated analyte detection results from another sensor. Once trained, the machine learning model is used to determine levels of an analyte from signals received at a non-invasive sensor in response to transmission of a transmit signal into a subject.

  • Publication number: 20250088818
Abstract: Systems and method are disclosed for facilitating efficient calibration of filters for correcting room and/or speaker-based distortion and/or binaural imbalances in audio reproduction, and/or for producing three-dimensional sound in stereo system environments. According to some embodiments, using a portable device such as a smartphone or tablet, a user can calibrate speakers by initiating playback of a test signal, detecting playback of the test signal with the portable device's microphone, and repeating this process for a number of speakers and/or device positions (e.g., next to each of the user's ears). A comparison can be made between the test signal and the detected signal, and this can be used to more precisely calibrate rendering of future signals by the speakers.

  • Publication number: 20250085224
Abstract: A system infers continuous potential energy landscapes, including barrier heights and friction coefficients, from smFRET data without the need to discretely approximate a state-space. The system operates within a Bayesian nonparametric paradigm by placing priors on the family of all possible potential curves, and leverages a Structured-Kernel-Interpolation Gaussian Process prior to help curtail computational cost. The system enables decoding information about continuous energy potential landscapes along a continuous coordinate for biological interactions (e.g., protein folding and binding) using a single dataset, including rarely visited barriers between putative potential minima. As such, the system allows resolution enhancement for probing biophysical systems to obtain deeper insight into protein folding, protein binding, and the physics of molecular motors.

  • Publication number: 20250085380
Abstract: A process to partition a video feed to segment live player activity includes receiving, on a first recurring basis, a transmission of a central video feed from a first camera. The central video feed is calibrated against a spatial region represented in at least two dimensions that is encompassed by the central video feed. The process includes receiving, on a second recurring basis, a respective time-stamped position information from each tracking device in a plurality of tracking devices. Each tracking device is worn by a corresponding subject on the spatial region and transmits positional information that describes a time-stamped position of the corresponding subject in the spatial region. The process uses the received information and the calibration to define a first sub-view of the central video feed associated with a first subject. The first sub-view comprises a corresponding sub-frame associated with the first subject.

  • Publication number: 20250084439
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for applying voltages or currents in droplet-based systems, e.g., to cause electroporation. For example, some embodiments are directed to applying voltage or current to a target droplet via other droplets that physically contact and/or are in ionic communication with that droplet. This may be used, for example, to prevent or reduce contamination from the electrodes applying the voltage. In some cases, the droplets may be present or controlled by a digital microfluidic (DMF) device using pixels within the device. For example, one or more droplets may be defined by pixels within the DMF device, and electrodes for applying such voltages or currents may be present within or near certain pixels. Other embodiments are generally directed to methods for making or using such systems, e.g., to electroporate cells, kits involving such systems, or the like.
