Abstract: An optical power detection system comprises a sensor and a reader. The sensor is configured to detect light in the cladding of an optical fiber. The sensor is positioned both within a ferrule of the optical fiber and proximate the cladding. The sensor is additionally configured to produce an output signal representative of the detected light. The reader is electrically coupled to the sensor and is configured to receive the sensor output signal. The reader is additionally configured to operation on the output signal to produce a corresponding visual and/or audible indication of the optical power in the optical fiber.

Abstract: A wipe dispenser for use in metering out consistent doses of a composition onto a disposable wipe includes a mixing and dispensing assembly. The assembly has a vessel holding a first liquid for the composition and a first pump to convey the first liquid. A bottle having a second pump to convey a second liquid of the composition is stored within the bottle. A funnel arrangement is in downstream communication with the first pump and second pump. The funnel arrangement includes a mixing chamber for mixing the first and second liquids and a dispensing funnel in communication with and downstream of the mixing chamber. A wipe can be pulled through the dispensing funnel and wetted with a mixture of the first liquid and second liquid from the mixing chamber. A push bar attached to the funnel arrangement can selectively apply the force to actuate the first pump and second pump.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for facilitating the extraction of cleaner biometric signals from biometric monitors. A motion reference signal is generated independently from a biometric signal and then the motion reference signal is used to remove motion artifacts from the biometric signal.

Abstract: A computer system enables instances of properties (e.g., of resources such as files in a file system) to be selectively synchronized with each other. Each instance of a property may have a plurality of versions. A primary version of the property is shared (and synchronized) among all property instances. Each property instance may also have its own secondary version of the property. Each property instance has its own effective version handle, which points to either the property's primary version or the property instance's secondary version of the property. A comparison is performed between a version state of the property's primary version and a version state of the secondary version of a first instance of the property to produce comparison result output. An instance state is exposed to indicate: (1) the version pointed to by the first instance's effective version handle; and (2) the comparison result output.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a document-integrated software integration validation by a service provider system are described. The method includes detecting an application program interface (API) call generated by a user system in a test transaction, the API call comprising a test identifier (ID) and a user system ID, the test ID identifying an API integration test scenario and the user system ID identifying the user system. The method also includes tracking a sequence of API calls and responses. Furthermore, the method includes receiving login credentials from the user system. The method also includes verifying the received login credentials with previously established login credentials associated with the user system ID. Additionally, the method includes determining whether the sequence of API calls and responses is performed correctly for the test transaction and serving the interactive integration guide to the user system indicating a result for the API integration test scenario.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and devices related to diagnosing a device-under-service (DUS) are disclosed. DUS-related data is received. The DUS-related data is determined to be aggregated into aggregated data based on a determined classification of the DUS-related data. An aggregated-data comparison of the DUS-related data and aggregated data is generated. The aggregated-data comparison can include a statistical analysis of the DUS-related data and/or a differential analysis of DUS-related data taken while the DUS is operating in two or more operating states. A DUS report is generated based on the aggregated-data comparison. The DUS report can include one or more sub-strategies. At least one of the one or more sub-strategies can include a sub-strategy-success estimate. The DUS report can be sent and a DUS-report display can be generated based on the DUS report.

The segmenter creates segment files associated with segments of data-streams of captures of workstation activity. Gains in speed and efficiency are achieved by segmenting data-streams into segments for transmission, storage, and processing.

Abstract: A system and method for increasing the volume for showers bounded by shower curtains and/or shower curtain liners. This system uses a curved outward shower curtain liner device. This device generally comprises a foldable body, comprising a flexible, water impermeable, material configured with the body left sides and body right sides capable of reversibly folding and unfolding from a first shorter folded width to a second longer unfolded width. The shower curtain liner body further comprises a plurality of rigid or semi-rigid supports disposed from top to bottom. At least some of these supports are configured to be capable of assuming a curved state. In this curved state, portions of the support in between the support top and bottom assume a curvature with a displacement of at least six inches, thus causing the shower curtain liner to take a curved state, effectively increasing the volume of the shower.
