  • Patent number: 12280241
Abstract: A glucose control system employs adaptation of a glucose target (set-point) control variable in controlling delivery of insulin to a subject to maintain euglycemia. The glucose target adapts based on trends in actual glucose level (e.g., measured blood glucose in the subject), and/or computed doses of a counter-regulatory agent such as glucagon. An adaptation region with upper and lower bounds for the glucose target may be imposed. Generally the disclosed techniques can provide for robust and safe glucose level control. Adaptation may be based on computed doses of a counter-regulatory agent whether or not such agent is actually delivered to the subject, and may be used for example to adjust operation in a bihormonal system during periods in which the counter-regulatory agent is not available for delivery.

  • Publication number: 20250122450
Abstract: A process for the reduction of the level of one or more mycotoxins from a co-product of bio-fuel production from fermentation of one or more grains or other biomass having fermentable sugars or starches. The one or more mycotoxins reduced from the co-product by a solvent extraction process to form distillers meal. The co-product can be distillers dried grains with solubles and/or distillers dried grains, such that the solvent extraction of the one or more mycotoxins provides distillers meal having a reduced level of the one or more mycotoxins compared to the co-product prior to the solvent extraction process. An optional washing process can also be used prior to or after the solvent extraction process to reduce mycotoxin levels. The resultant distillers meal having a reduced level of one or more mycotoxins deemed fit as an animal feed or animal feed supplement for one or more animals.

  • Publication number: 20250122641
Abstract: A method of forming a diamond coated glass structure includes providing a substrate having a first and a second side, with each side having at least one corner and one edge. A first portion of the first side can be masked and a CVD diamond layer deposited on a second portion of the first side of the substrate. After diamond deposition, ion substitution can be used to chemically modify at least a portion of the substrate. In some embodiments, flatness of substrates can be maintained despite compressive effects due to diamond coatings. In other embodiments, ion substitution into a partially diamond coated glass structure will greatly increase impact resistance at the corners, provide lower impact resistance at the edges, and have lowest impact resistance in a central region of the diamond coated glass structure.

  • Publication number: 20250123871
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe techniques for a host to provide TX packets to a shared adapter that then uses a NIC to forward the TX packet to a network. In one embodiment, the host creates or fills in one or more TX storage block page entries (SBPE) for the TX packet and stores an index of the TX SBPE in host memory. The host memory can also store an initiative state that tracks whether the shared adapter is currently processing TX packets. If not, the host can issue an interrupt to the shared adapter, along with the index associated with the TX SBPE. The shared adapter can then fetch the TX SBPE from host memory and program the NIC to transmit the TX packet.
