Abstract: A bellows shaped spinal implant, comprising an upper plate, a lower plate and a bellows shaped shell extending between and joining the upper and lower plates. The bellows shaped shell is formed of titanium or an alloy comprising titanium and includes a wall extending therearound that defines a hollow interior. The wall has a thickness in the range of 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm to provide for radiographic imaging through the wall. The wall is angled or curved inwardly or outwardly between the upper and lower plates to provide stiffness mimicking the stiffness properties of a similarly sized polyetheretherketone (PEEK) implant. The upper and lower plates each comprise porous contact regions including a three-dimensional gyroid lattice structure defined by a plurality of struts and pores in communication with the hollow interior. The outer surfaces of at least a portion of the struts may comprise a laser ablated textured surface.

  • Publication number: 20250122646
Abstract: Described are starch-based materials, and formulations including such, which can be spun in spunbond, melt blown, yarn, or similar processes. Even with high viscosity resulting from inclusion of the starch-based materials, the formulations can be processed at commercial line speeds, with spinneret shear viscosities of 1000 sec?1, or even up to 4000 sec?1, without onset of melt flow instability. Viscosity and other processing characteristics can be improved by addition of an acid or acid anhydride, and/or by use of sorbitol as the plasticizer, when forming the starch-based material. The starch-based material can be blended with one or more thermoplastic materials, e.g., having higher melt flow index value(s), allowing the blend to be spun. The particular melt flow index characteristics of the thermoplastic diluent material can be selected based on what type of process is being used (e.g., spunbond, melt blown, yarn, etc.).

  • Publication number: 20250126226
Abstract: A content management platform automatically identifies content items that are presented during videoconferences. The platform is configured to access a video file that contains a plurality of frames of a recording of a videoconference, where the recording of the videoconference contains a record of screen sharing by one or more participants in the videoconference. The platform can classify one or more of the frames as content-containing frames. For each of these content-containing frames, the platform generates a vector representation of an image of at least a portion of the respective frame. An image of a respective frame can then be matched to a selected content item from a content repository, based on a degree of similarity between the image of the frame and the content item. The platform can then store a representation that links the video file to the selected content item.
