Abstract: A method implemented by a computing device includes rendering on a first display and a second display of the computing device an extended reality (XR) environment, and determining a context of the XR environment with respect to a user. Determining the context includes determining characteristics associated with each eye of the user with respect to virtual content displayed within the XR environment. The method includes determining, based on the characteristics, a mapping of a first set of coordinates of the virtual content as displayed on the first display and a second set of coordinates of the virtual content as displayed on the second display, generating, based on the mapping of the first set of coordinates and the second set of coordinates, composite virtual content to be rendered on the first display and the second display; and re-rendering on the first display and the second display the composite virtual content.

  • Publication number: 20250115263
Abstract: A method for a replay driver skill improvement system is described. The method includes logging vehicle commands requested by a vehicle operator of an ego vehicle to perform a selected driving maneuver. The method also includes identifying one or more of the logged vehicle commands in which operation of the ego vehicle is outside of a predetermined threshold while performing the selected driving maneuver. • Publication number: 20250117334
Abstract: Purging resources from a cache in a distributed networked system is described. A compute server of a first data center of the distributed networked system receives a purge request to purge a resource from cache. If the purge request does not include a cache key, the compute server determines whether the purge request is valid, and if valid, purges the resource from cache of the first data center, generates a cache key for the resource, and causes the purge request that includes the generated cache key to be sent to other data centers of the distributed networked system for purging the resource from cache. If the purge request includes a cache key, the compute server skips determining whether the purge request is valid and purges the resource from cache based on the cache key.

  • Publication number: 20250117671
Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for a system that enables individual users or entities to assess high-level concepts expressed in natural language by identifying quantitative evaluation criteria for evaluating the concept. For example, a query evaluation system is provided herein that receives a user's query including natural language, e.g., indicative of a higher-level concept or idea to be deployed. The system may identify quantitative evaluation criteria for evaluating the concept, perform back-testing (e.g., to see how a particular strategy would have performed in the past) and allow the user to create a specific investment portfolio that tracks the original intent of the user. The concept may be tested, and its performance evaluated before deploying it to a user portfolio.

  • Publication number: 20250119562
Abstract: A media server uses selective just-in-time (“JIT”) transcoding of media such as video. For example, the media server determines a measure of complexity of a given segment of a given media sequence. The given segment has been encoded at a base bit rate. The media server evaluates a complexity condition for the given segment. As part of evaluating the complexity condition, the media server compares the measure of complexity to a complexity threshold. Based at least in part on whether the complexity condition is satisfied, the media server selects between use of preemptive transcoding and use of JIT transcoding for the given segment at a given target bit rate. In this way, the media server can selectively incur the cost of preemptive transcoding operations for the given segment if JIT transcoding would likely introduce unacceptable delay, and the media server can otherwise use JIT transcoding operations for the given segment.
