  • Patent number: 11462368
Abstract: An actuator assembly for actuating an electrical switch housed in sealed electrical enclosure is disclosed. The actuator assembly includes a handle assembly including a handle positioned on an exterior of a cover of the sealed enclosure, a trip bracket positioned within the sealed enclosure and a shaft connecting the handle to the trip bracket. A slider actuator is slidably mounted over an electrical switch positioned within the enclosure and operatively associated with or coupled to a toggle of the electrical switch. The slider actuator has a drive link which is adapted to engage the trip bracket such that rotation of the handle activates the drive link which causes linear movement of the slider actuator to move the electrical switch between on and off positions. The use of the slider actuator allows a higher density of electrical switches to be stacked within the sealed enclosure.

  • Patent number: 11414344
Abstract: The apparatus and methods include moving an optical fiber over a fiber path that includes a marking location at which resides a marking unit that dispenses an ink-jet stream. A centering method is performed whereby the optical fiber is incrementally moved in a lateral direction through the path of the ink-stream and the mark number density of marks formed on the optical fiber is measured along with the optical fiber position. A process window is defined by the range of lateral fiber positions over which a target mark number density is formed on a consistent basis. A controller calculates an optimum fiber path position and stores it memory for future reference while also moving the fiber path to the optimum position. The initially wet ink marks are dried and the fiber coated with a transparent protective overcoat to form a coated and marked optical fiber.

  • Publication number: 20220250827
Abstract: Provided is an insulation liner for use inside a shipping carton that affords thermal insulation and shock absorption for an object to be shipped, a liner and carton system, a method of production of the insulation liner, and methods of use. The insulation liner includes a larger component folded into three panels, a smaller component folded into three panels, and standoffs disposed on the surfaces of both the larger component and the smaller component. The standoffs may be oriented inwardly or outwardly. When oriented outwardly they create an interstitial air space that reduces conduction allowing the insulation effect of the liner and carton system to equal or exceed that of a molded polystyrene container of an equal size.
