  • Patent number: 9984783
Abstract: Invention provided for efficiently transmitting energy to a target for producing an overall effective result for applications comprising power transmission and communications. Wherein, first, a source of electromagnetically intense coherent radiation and an interferometer produce a beam of electromagnetically neutralized radiation. The neutralized beam comprises forward propagating photons or forward propagating electrically charged particles which have associated forward traveling waves which superimpose and destructively interfere to an extent, and have oscillatorily time-varying electromagnetic fields which cancel to a corresponding extent. Then, second, the electromagnetically neutralized beam is coherently transmitted through transmission apparatus to a target which then, third, utilizes the transmitted beam.

  • Patent number: 9967005
Abstract: Pilots suitable for use in MIMO systems and capable of supporting various functions are described. The various types of pilot include—a beacon pilot, a MIMO pilot, a steered reference or steered pilot, and a carrier pilot. The beacon pilot is transmitted from all transmit antennas and may be used for timing and frequency acquisition. The MIMO pilot is transmitted from all transmit antennas but is covered with different orthogonal codes assigned to the transmit antennas. The MIMO pilot may be used for channel estimation. The steered reference is transmitted on specific eigenmodes of a MIMO channel and is user terminal specific. The steered reference may be used for channel estimation. The carrier pilot may be transmitted on designated subbands/antennas and may be used for phase tracking of a carrier signal. Various pilot transmission schemes may be devised based on different combinations of these various types of pilot.

  • Publication number: 20180068812
Abstract: An actuator assembly for actuating electrical switches housed in an electrical enclosure is disclosed. The assembly includes at least one handle assembly including a handle positioned above a cover of the enclosure, a trip bracket positioned below the cover and a shaft connecting the handle to the trip bracket. At least one slider actuator is slidably mounted over the electrical switch and coupled to a toggle of the electrical switch. The slider actuator has a drive link which is adapted to be engaged with the trip bracket such that rotation of the handle causes the drive link to slide which in turn causes a linear movement of the slider actuator to toggle the electrical switch. The use of the slider actuator allows a higher density of electrical switches to be stacked inside the enclosure.
