  • Publication number: 20190246854
Abstract: A cyclonic separator device for removing dust or debris from dirt-laden air, the device having a separating chamber, an inlet, an outlet, and a shroud that is connected to the separating chamber at one end, and provides a plurality of openings for the passage of air to the outlet. The device further includes a dirt collection chamber in communication with the separating chamber. The separating chamber includes an airflow directing formation which is connected to an inner surface of a generally cylindrical portion and which extends inwardly towards a central axis of the generally cylindrical portion. The airflow directing formation provides a surface which follows a substantially helical path that extends away from the inlet as it extends circumferentially around the inner surface of the generally cylindrical portion.

  • Publication number: 20190235999
Abstract: An automated system is presented for unit testing an application in a mainframe execution environment. The system includes a test configurator, a stub setup routine and an interceptor routine. The test configurator is configured to receive and parse a test input file, where the test input file includes a record for a particular file accessed by the application using the given type of file system. Upon reading the record, the test configurator calls the stub setup routine. The stub setup routine is associated with the given type of file system and creates an object for the particular file in the mainframe execution environment, such that the object is instantiated from a class representing the given type of file system. The interceptor routine is accessible by the application. In response to a given command issued by the application for the given type of file system, the interceptor routine operates to interact with methods provided by the object.

  • Publication number: 20190186288
Abstract: Systems and methods for conditionally performing engine operational tests for a turbine engine are provided. A system comprising at least one processor can be configured to obtain sensor data associated with at least one sensor for a turbine engine. The sensor data identifies a current fuel flow associated with the turbine engine. The system can determine a predicted fuel flow of the turbine engine based at least in part on the current fuel flow and a fuel flow reduction associated with an engine operational test. The system can compare the predicted fuel flow to at least one threshold. The system can selectively initiate the engine operational test based on comparing the predicted fuel flow to the at least one threshold.

  • Publication number: 20190187398
Abstract: A flat drop cable has notches or other structures for enhancing the stripability of the jacket from the a core of the flat drop cable. The notches can have an angled configuration with surfaces that converge as the notch extends into the jacket. Inner edges of the notches can be positioned along a tear path that intersects the core of the flat drop cable. For example, the notches can be offset from a minor axis of the flat drop cable a sufficient distance such that the notches are positioned outside a central boundary region that extends tangent to sides of the core and parallel to the minor axis of the flat drop cable.
