  • Patent number: 9817668
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth an approach for executing replay operations for divergent operations in a parallel processing subsystem. Specifically, the streaming multiprocessor (SM) includes a multistage pipeline configured to batch two or more replay operations for processing via replay loop. A logic element within the multistage pipeline detects whether the current pipeline stage is accessing a shared resource, such as loading data from a shared memory. If the threads are accessing data which are distributed across multiple cache lines, then the multistage pipeline batches two or more replay operations, where the replay operations are inserted into the pipeline back-to-back.

  • Publication number: 20170318842
Abstract: A method is provided for the production of pasta with yogurt. Pasta made with yogurt can be prepared using dry yogurt powder or prepared yogurt. Such pastas are produced by carefully mixing the ingredients, extruding or pressing the mixture, then drying the formed pasta shapes at temperatures from about 130 degree F to about 200 degree F and at a low relative humidity sufficient to control the drying rate to a final moisture content of about 10 to 13 weight percent, wherein the pasta has, after processing and subsequent cooking, good color, texture, integrity and flavor.

  • Patent number: 9808916
Abstract: A reduced arc box end ratchet wrench or ratchet drive wrench utilizes a multiple pawl ratchet assembly comprised of a body having an insert cavity to enclose critical components of an insert that is secured within the ratchet assembly. The insert is set into the wrench body and includes a plurality of pivoting pawls. Each pawl comprises a lever arm with ratchet engaging teeth. The pawl arms are positioned relative to the ratchet wheel to create “pawl swing arcs” and “reduced ratcheting arcs” to alternately or successively engage a portion of the teeth of a ratchet wheel at all times. This configuration allows smaller degrees between ratchet teeth and a smaller wrench rotation that is otherwise required to apply torque.

  • Patent number: 9755994
Abstract: One embodiment of the present disclosure sets forth an effective way to maintain fairness and order in the scheduling of common resource access requests related to replay operations. Specifically, a streaming multiprocessor (SM) includes a total order queue (TOQ) configured to schedule the access requests over one or more execution cycles. Access requests are allowed to make forward progress when needed common resources have been allocated to the request. Where multiple access requests require the same common resource, priority is given to the older access request. Access requests may be placed in a sleep state pending availability of certain common resources. Deadlock may be avoided by allowing an older access request to steal resources from a younger resource request. One advantage of the disclosed technique is that older common resource access requests are not repeatedly blocked from making forward progress by newer access requests.

Abstract: Described herein is a wavelength selective switch (WSS) type optical switching device (1) configured for switching input optical beams from input optical fiber ports (3, 5 and 7) to an output optical fiber port (9). Device (1) includes a wavelength dispersive grism element (13) for spatially dispersing the individual wavelength channels from an input optical beam in the direction of a second axis (y-axis). The optical beams propagate from input ports (3, 5 and 7) in a forward direction and are reflected from a liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) device (11) in a return direction to output port (9). The input optical beams are transmitted through a port selecting module (21), which provides polarization diversity to device (1) and provides capability to restrict optical beams returning from LCOS device (11) from being coupled back into input ports (3, 5 and 7).
