  • Patent number: 11138675
Abstract: Systems, methods and articles of manufacture for preparing an electronic tax return in which a supporting document is associated with a specific form field of the tax return and attached to the tax return. The system displays a tax data input screen for a user to input tax data for a current form field of the tax return being worked on. The system determines that a supporting document is required for the current form field and displays an attach document command. When a user selects the command, the system displays a file selection function. The system receives a selection of a document file selected using the file selection function and automatically associates the selected document file with the current form field and uses metadata related to the form field to assign a document description to the selected document file.

  • Publication number: 20200393346
Abstract: Various embodiments include methods and systems to dilute a sampled particle-laden aerosol stream in a recirculating type of aerosol diluter system. In one embodiment, a system to dilute a sampled aerosol stream includes an aerosol sample inlet. A primary diluter device includes a first inlet to receive the aerosol stream and a second inlet to receive a filtered portion of the aerosol stream and combining the filtered portion with an additional sampled aerosol stream. A flow diverter device splits at least the sampled aerosol stream into a first portion of the sampled aerosol stream and a remaining portion of the sampled aerosol stream. A filter receives the remaining portion of the sampled aerosol stream and provides a filtered aerosol stream to the second inlet of the primary diluter device. Other methods and apparatuses are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10838988
Abstract: A geospatial indexing module operating in a server device operates on an efficient index for retrieving and providing map features which represent geographic entities such as streets, roads, cities, states, buildings, bodies of water, etc. The index includes identification information for a map feature fragment, which represents at least a portion of a map feature, as well as a node in a tree data structure to which the map feature fragment corresponds and a range of levels of detail for which the map feature fragment is valid. When a user requests map data for a geographic region at a level of detail, the geospatial indexing module queries the index for all map feature fragments within the requested region and level of detail and provides the retrieved map feature fragments to the user.

  • Patent number: 10732082
Abstract: Various embodiments include methods and systems to dilute a sampled particle-laden aerosol stream. In one embodiment, a system to dilute a sampled aerosol stream includes an aerosol sample inlet. A filter is coupled in fluid communication with and in parallel with a flow-monitoring device to receive the sampled aerosol stream from the aerosol sample inlet. The flow-monitoring device is configured to allow for a passage of particles contained in the sampled aerosol stream. A pressure sensor and a temperature sensor monitor the filter and the flow-monitoring device. An output from the filter and the flow-monitoring device may be directed to particle measurement or particle sizing instrumentation. An actual dilution ratio of the output sent to the particle measurement or particle sizing instrumentation is determined based on a nominal flowrate of the flow-monitoring device and thermodynamic properties of a gas comprising the aerosol stream. Other methods and apparatuses are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10631063
Abstract: This application discloses a method for using closed captions to initiate display of related content. A computer system identifies a set of first information in closed captions of a video stream, and searches an identity database using the set of first information as queries. The identity database stores a plurality of identities, and each identity is associated with a name and an importance metric. The computer system identifies one or more identities in the identity database based on the respective importance metrics of the one or more identities, and obtains second information of one or more content files related to the identities identified in the identity database. Upon obtaining the second information, the computer system generates instructions to invoke an application for presenting the second information of the one or more content files to the user of the computing device.

  • Patent number: 10567834
Abstract: The various implementations described herein describe using an audio stream to identify metadata associated with a currently playing television program. In one aspect, a method is performed at a computing device having processors and memory storing programs to be executed by the processors. The computing device obtains audio description data of a video stream for a media program. The audio description data comprises a synchronized audio narrative describing what is happening visually in the media program. The computing device identifies a set of information items including one or more words in the audio description data. The computing device transmits the words to a server. After the transmitting, the computing device obtains from the server information of content files related to the words. In response to obtaining the information, the computing device causes the information to be displayed on an electronic device that is distinct from the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20200027128
Abstract: A single tracking URL collects tracking information for multiple tracking services based on multiple tracking URL templates. A dynamic link generator generates a tracking URL configured to collect tracking information requested by each of a set of enabled tracking URL templates. The tracking information is transmitted to the tracking services associated with the enabled tracking URL templates. Additionally or alternatively, a tracking URL is configured to redirect a consumer to one of a candidate set of destination URLs. A tracking URL includes a base URL, which is resolved to an IP address of a server of a particular tracking service. Based on tracking data associated with the tracking URL and/or digital body language associated with the consumer, the particular tracking service selects one of a candidate set of destination URLs associated with the tracking URL. A destination page corresponding to the selected destination URL is presented to the consumer.

  • Patent number: 10470890
Abstract: A medical grade thermoplastic or polymer implant with an osteoconductive coating is provided, specifically for corrections of the distal and proximal interphalangeal toe joints of the foot. The implant can be either straight or angled, and can be either solid or cannulated for insertion. The implant is sized and shaped depending on the specific anatomy and desired correction. End portions of the implant may be coated with an osteoconductive coating that promotes bone growth, but may reduce radiolucency. Thus, a central portion of the implant may remain uncoated to increase radiolucency of the implant at the region where two bones come together.
