  • Patent number: 10007677
Abstract: A geospatial indexing module operating in a server device operates on an efficient index for retrieving and providing map features which represent geographic entities such as streets, roads, cities, states, buildings, bodies of water, etc. The index includes identification information for a map feature fragment, which represents at least a portion of a map feature, as well as a node in a tree data structure to which the map feature fragment corresponds and a range of levels of detail for which the map feature fragment is valid. When a user requests map data for a geographic region at a level of detail, the geospatial indexing module queries the index for all map feature fragments within the requested region and level of detail and provides the retrieved map feature fragments to the user.

  • Patent number: 9942617
Abstract: This application discloses a method for using closed captions to initiate display of related content. A computing device obtains closed captions of a video stream displayed to a user of the computing device, and identifies in the closed captions a set of information items including one or more emphasized words that are relevant for identifying information of one or more related content files. The computing device then transmits the emphasized words to a server that is distinct from a source of the video stream, and obtains therefrom the information of the one or more content files related to the emphasized words. In response to obtaining the information of the one or more content files and without user intervention, the computing device causes an application to be invoked for presenting the one or more content files to the user of the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20180049881
Abstract: A medical grade thermoplastic or polymer implant with an osteoconductive coating is provided, specifically for corrections of the distal and proximal interphalangeal toe joints of the foot. The implant can be either straight or angled, and can be either solid or cannulated for insertion. The implant is sized and shaped depending on the specific anatomy and desired correction. End portions of the implant may be coated with an osteoconductive coating that promotes bone growth, but may reduce radiolucency. Thus, a central portion of the implant may remain uncoated to increase radiolucency of the implant at the region where two bones come together.

  • Patent number: 9881063
Abstract: Described are systems and methods for changing query result data graphically displayed on an electronic device. A query of a data repository is performed. A graphical representation of a set of query results identified from the query is displayed. The set of query results includes a plurality of query result records. The graphical representation includes a first node corresponding to a first record field value and a second node corresponding to a second record field value. A region proximal to the first node displays at least one query result record having the first record field value. A query result record of the at least one query result record having the first record field value is selected. A field value of a selected query result record is changed from the first record field value to the second record field value by transitioning the selected query result record to a region proximal to the second node of the graphical representation.

  • Patent number: 9784379
Abstract: This invention is a device designed to deflate rubber rafts, inner tubes, air mattresses and other inflatable objects equipped with cut-check valves or self-closing squeeze valves. The device is constructed of a rigid material, the body of which is comprised of a slender conical shape, terminating in a perpendicular T shaped handle. A tapered air gap runs through the core of the slender conical body along the vertical axis of the device. When inserted into said valves, the smooth rounded tip of the device safely penetrates the cut-check or flap portion of the valve, allowing air to flow from the inflatable object, through the device, and into the atmosphere. The tapered body is compatible with valves of various size diameters. When inserted into said valves, friction ensures the device will remain firmly seated inside said valves allowing hands free deflation.

  • Patent number: 9775947
Abstract: A medical fluid communication system is disclosed comprising a pump controller and a fluid detector. The fluid detector detects characteristics of the fluid and provides fluid measurements to the pump controller, which detects if the fluid is flowing in the medication delivery system. In the event fluid is not flowing due to an occlusion, the pump controller may attempt to resolve the occlusion or may provide a warning to a user that an occlusion is occurring.
