  • Patent number: 10072427
Abstract: An abrading device for abrading a floor structure comprises a first abrading assembly and a second abrading assembly. The first and second abrading assemblies each have a rotationally driven contact roll provided with a sleeve having a plurality of cutouts formed in a pattern thereon. An abrading belt is trained over the sleeve. A first oscillation assembly is connected to the first abrading assembly and oscillates the contact roll of the first abrading assembly in a first direction via a linear, reciprocating motion. A second oscillation assembly is connected to the second abrading assembly and oscillates the contact roll of the second abrading assembly in a second direction via a linear reciprocating motion. The first and second abrading assemblies consecutively abrade a top surface of the floor structure with the pattern formed by the cutouts on the respective sleeves to form a distressed visible pattern thereon.

  • Patent number: 10051927
Abstract: A zip slider has: a slider body having upper and lower elements providing two entry channels through which zip teeth pass and slider un/mating; a pull tab having a cam; a biasing spring having a locking prong and a follower surface bearing against the cam. The cam on the follower surface biases the tab into a closed position in which it lies against the upper element. When the tab is in a lifted position, the cam action on the follower surface raises the prong above the mated teeth, enabling relative motion of the teeth and body; when the tab is in the closed position, the prong bears against the teeth to prevent unwanted relative slider and teeth motion. The slider has a counter bias, acting between the upper element and the tab to apply a biasing force on the tab acting against the action of the cam and follower surface.

  • Publication number: 20180206594
Abstract: A polymeric outsole for an article of footwear comprises: an outsole body and a tread pattern that comprises a plurality of cleats and channels between the cleats; and one or more tread ribs projecting from the outsole body. The tread ribs project a first distance from the outsole body that is shorter than a second distance that the cleats of the tread pattern project from the outsole body. The tread ribs are effective as wear indicators to indicate remaining useful life of the cleats. During a first duration of wear, the tread ribs are not in contact with a ground surface while the cleats are in contact with the ground surface, and during a second duration of wear, both the tread ribs and the cleats are in contact with the ground surface.
