Abstract: An interaction assistant conducts multiple turn interaction dialogs with a user in which context is maintained between turns, and the system manages the dialog to achieve an inferred goal for the user. The system includes a linguistic interface to a user and a parser for processing linguistic events from the user. A dialog manager of the system is configured to receive alternative outputs from the parser, and selecting an action and causing the action to be performed based on the received alternative outputs. The system further includes a dialog state for an interaction with the user, and the alternative outputs represent alternative transitions from a current dialog state to a next dialog state. The system further includes a storage for a plurality of templates, and wherein each dialog state is defined in terms of an interrelationship of one or more instances of the templates.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, an analytics computing environment data store may contain a set of electronic data records, each electronic data record being associated with a predictive analytic algorithm and including an algorithm identifier and a set of algorithm characteristic values. An analytics environment computer may receive an adjustment from a user associated with an enterprise, the adjustment changing at least one of the set of algorithm characteristic values for a predictive analytic algorithm. Deployment of the predictive analytic algorithm may then be initiated in an enterprise operations workflow and at least one result may be generated. The deployed predictive analytic algorithm may then monitor the result and generate an alert signal when the result exceeds a boundary condition.

An exemplary embodiment of a method for controlling slot openings between wire segments in a wire wrap welding process generally includes controlling movement of a bed mounted tailstock in relation to the rate of rotation of a headstock mounted spindle, utilizing a linear induction drive system, a linear encoder system, and a control system.

Abstract: The adsorber vessel is configured for radial flow between a center column and a perimeter manifold. Space between the center column and the perimeter manifold contains adsorption media. End caps close off ends of the vessel. An inlet and an outlet are configured within one of the end caps to feed starting gas into the center column or perimeter manifold, and to draw off product gas from the perimeter manifold or center column. An end cap can be removed to provide access for media loading between the center column and the perimeter manifold. Media is preferably provided within cartridges which can slide into this media space. Cartridges can be concentric with one cartridge inboard of the other, or can be stacked vertically. A spring plate can be provided on an open end to hold the media in position, while sealing the open end of the adsorber vessel.

Abstract: Methods of making an abrasive article. Abrasive particles are loaded to a distribution tool including a plurality of strips defining a plurality of channels. Each channel is open to a lower side of the tool. The loaded particles are distributed from the distribution tool to a major face of a backing web below the lower side. At least a majority of the particles distributed from the tool undergo an orientation sequence in which each particle first enters one of the channels. The particle then passes partially through the channel such that a first portion is beyond the lower side and in contact with the major face, and a second portion within the channel. The sequence then includes the particle remaining in simultaneous contact with one of the strips and the major face for a dwell period.

Abstract: History for data objects may be maintained to detect data events. An indication of an Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process applied to one or more source data objects to generate one or more transformed data objects may be received. History for the source data objects may be updated to include the transformed data objects and the ETL process that generated the transformed data objects. An evaluation of the update may be performed to determine whether an event associated with the data lineage is triggered. If the event is triggered, a notification of the event may be sent to one or more subscribers for the event.

Abstract: Embodiments of a testing method for diabetics to optimize their administered insulin dosage comprise collecting sampling sets of biomarker data, each sampling set comprising a sufficient plurality of non-adverse sampling instances and each sampling instance comprising an acceptable biomarker reading at a single point in time recorded upon compliance with adherence criteria, determining a biomarker sampling parameter from each sampling set, comparing the biomarker sampling parameter to a target biomarker range, calculating an insulin adjustment parameter associated with the biomarker sampling parameter if the biomarker sampling parameter falls outside the target biomarker range, adjusting the insulin dosage by the insulin adjustment parameter if the biomarker sampling parameter falls outside the target biomarker range and the insulin dosage does not exceed maximum dosage, and exiting the testing method if the adjusted insulin dosage is optimized.

Abstract: An infant care station that includes multiple operational modules that communicate with each other to carry out the infant care station functions. The multiple modules form part of a micro-environmental platform that allows for communication and power connections between all of the operational components required within the infant care station. The multiple modules communicate with each other utilizing a universal interface bus that includes power connections, communication connections and control connections between the multiple modules. Sensor data obtained by various sensors is stored using a standard data format. A data repository is included in one of the modules and is used to store sensor data obtained from the infant patient, operational protocols and other information needed to operate the infant care station. The data repository provides a central location for both data producers and data subscribers that are part of the micro-environment platform.

Abstract: The present disclosure enables applications of a computing system to coordinate object-based audio resources by the use of a minimum resource working set. The minimum resource working set encourages an application to be fair in its requirements since specifying a large number will most likely result in the application receiving zero resources, or losing all of its resources to another application. A working set, which can include a minimum and a maximum working set, also provides a useful metric for the spatial audio resource manager to use when balancing demand. In addition, a minimum working set provides a performance metric for resource balancing since it exposes what the minimum functional requirement is from the maxim requested resource claim.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for coating a composite structure, comprising forming a first slurry by combining a first pre-slurry composition comprising a first phosphate glass composition, with a primary flow modifier and a first carrier fluid, wherein the primary flow modifier comprises at least one of cellulose or calcium silicate; applying the first slurry on a surface of the composite structure to form a base layer; and heating the composite structure to a temperature sufficient to adhere the base layer to the composite structure.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to sensor systems for electronic ophthalmic devices. In certain embodiments, the sensor systems may comprise a sensor such as an adjustable resistor configured in series with an eye of a user of the electronic ophthalmic device. The sensor systems may comprise a gain stage configured to amplify a signal indicative of a difference between a voltage drop across the eye and the adjustable resistor. The sensor systems may comprise an integrator configured to integrate the amplified signal. A resistance value of the adjustable resistor is configured to cancel a DC component of a resistance of the eye when an electrical current is caused to flow through the eye and the adjustable resistor. As such, the configured resistance value of the adjustable resistor is indicative of an impedance of the eye.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to systems in which one or more infrared cameras or sensors are used to measure heat related to the wheels of carts, such as shopping carts. Wheels with bad bearings, that wobble, or that have other issues preventing normal operation tend to generate more heat than wheels that are in good working order, such that an infrared camera or sensor directed at wheel height (e.g., about 2-3 inches off the floor) can detect wheel issues by detecting heat emitted by the wheels.
