Abstract: A system and method for transmitting/receiving encryption information in a mobile broadcast system supporting broadcast service (BCAST) are provided. In the mobile broadcast system, a BCAST Subscription Management (BSM) manages subscriber information of a terminal, and transmits to a BCAST Service Distribution/Adaptation (BSD/A) a first delivery message including a Registration Key Material (RKM) provided for registration of the broadcast service of the terminal and including at least one service or content's identifier. The BSD/A transmits to the BSM a first delivery confirmation message including information indicating success/fail in receipt of the first delivery message, and transmits the RKM to the terminal.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a system for remote control, and a remote control method using a control user interface of a remote user interface (UI) client according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes receiving, by the remote UI client, a message requesting a service from a remote device; transmitting a message requesting a control UI related to the requested service to a remote UI server when the remote UI client receives the message requesting the service from the remote device; receiving, by the remote UI client, a control UI corresponding to the message requesting the control UI from the remote UI server; and transmitting, by the remote UI client, the received control UI to the remote device. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a user may easily control a corresponding remote user interface through a control user interface specified for a screen on which the remote user interface is being reproduced.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for controlling a Remote User Interface Client (RUIC), on which a remote user interface is displayed, through another RUIC. A message including control information that indicates a control action corresponding to a user input at the other RUIC is received at the RUIC from the other RUIC. The RUIC determines whether the control information is predefined information or undefined information. When the control information is predefined information, the control information is delivered from a web server of the RUIC to an application of the RUIC, and a control operation corresponding to the control information is executed by the application. When the control information is undefined information, the received control information is delivered from the web server to the application through a remote control plug-in in the RUIC to execute the control operation corresponding to the control information by the application.

Abstract: A method and system for updating a plug-in in a device in Internet Protocol TeleVision (IPTV) system are provided. The method includes determining a second plug-in group selected from among a first plug-in group to be updated according to status information of each plug-in indicated in the first plug-in group in the device; and updating each plug-indicated in the determined second plug-in group.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for generating a Short Term Key Message (STKM) for protection of a broadcast service being broadcasted to a terminal in a mobile broadcast system. The method includes transmitting, by a Broadcast Service Subscription Management (BSM) for managing subscription information, at least one key information for authentication of the broadcast service to a Broadcast Service Distribution/Adaptation (BSD/A) for transmitting the broadcast service, generating, by the BSD/A, a Traffic Encryption Key (TEK) for deciphering of the broadcast service in the terminal and inserting the TEK into a partially created STKM, and performing, by the BSD/A, Message Authentication Code (MAC) processing on the TEK-inserted STKM using the at least one key information, thereby generating a completed STKM.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for delivering a stream in a mobile broadcast system that receives stream contents of broadcast services (BCAST) from a content creation and provides the broadcast services to one terminal or one group of terminals via one of a broadcast distribution system (BDS) and an interaction network. The method involves requesting assignment of a bearer in which the stream is to be delivered, assigning a bearer in response to the bearer assignment request, adapting the stream to be appropriate for the assigned bearer, and delivering the adapted stream to the terminal in the assigned bearer.

Abstract: A method and device for enforcing advertisement viewing in the device are provided. When there is a play request for contents, it is determined whether there is a common Rights Object (RO) linked with an RO of the requested contents. When there is a common RO, information about consumption of advertisements on a plurality of contents is obtained from the common RO. At least one advertisement linked with the requested contents is played on the basis of the obtained information.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for playing an advertisement in a device depending on use of a multimedia service are provided. The method includes receiving a user request to execute request specific content; determining whether advertisement enforced-watching information is included in a rights object representing a user's consumption rights for the specific content; executing the specific content; stopping, if the advertisement enforced-watching information is included in the rights object the execution of the specific content according to the advertisement enforced-watching information and providing the advertisement to the user after stopping the execution of the specific content; and resuming the stopped execution of the specific content after providing the advertisement to the user is completed.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for providing a mobile advertising service using a mobile broadcasting network. The method includes the steps of: creating and providing, by a BCAST server, a service guide to which advertisement information is applied to a BCAST client when a MobAd server (Ad Server) provides the advertisement information to the BCAST Server which handles a broadcast service; and requesting, by an advertising engine (Ad engine), the BCAST client to provide a desired advertisement when the Ad server notifies the Ad engine of an object advertisement, and receiving the requested advertisement from the BCAST client.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for providing a mobile advertising service in a mobile advertising system, and for sharing a preference to deliver a personalized advertisement requested by a particular group member to other users. In a method for providing a mobile advertising service by a server of a mobile advertising system, a group creation request message including a user list and a group user preference is received from an advertising engine, a group is created according to the user list and the group user preference in the group creation request message, a response message to the group creation request message is sent to the advertising engine, an advertisement request message is received from one of advertising engines included in the user list, an advertisement appropriate for the group user preference is selected, and the selected advertisement is delivered to at least one advertising engine included in the user list. The at least one advertising engine is included in the same group.

Abstract: A roaming service method in a mobile broadcasting system and a system thereof are provided. A terminal receives a service guide from a corresponding visited service provider (Visited SP) when the terminal moves to a roaming area. The terminal transmits a roaming request message for requesting a purchase item allowable for individual services to a home service provider (Home SP) based on the received service guide. Upon receipt of the roaming request message, the Home SP negotiates roaming availability and allowable scope for each individual service with the Visited SP where the terminal is located, based on the roaming request message. The Home SP transmits the roaming availability and allowable scope for the individual service, negotiated with the Visited SP, to the terminal.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting a notification about broadcasting services in a broadcasting system are provided. The method includes detecting a notification event related to a broadcasting service; generating a notification message about the notification event; determining which channel is used for a transmission of the notification message; and transmitting the notification message to a terminal or a group of terminals over the determined channel.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and an apparatus for managing a consumption right for each stage for a service including a plurality of stages or episodes. The right issuer includes the access condition, which allows an access to the Right Object (RO) for each stage, in the right object representing the consumption right for the stepped multimedia service and then transfers the right object to the device. When the stepped multimedia service is executed, the device obtains the access information satisfying the access condition corresponding to a corresponding stage from the right issuer or a service provider and then transfers the access information to the RO, allowing a user to access the RO and execute a service of the corresponding stage by using the RO.

Abstract: A terminal apparatus is provided for receiving a broadcast service from a broadcasting system. A receiver receives a notification message from the broadcasting system. A message parser parses the notification message received by the receiver according to a certain format. A controller determines whether the received notification message is a notification message to be used by a user or a notification message to be used by the terminal based on content of the notification message parsed by the message parser, and performs an operation according to the determination result.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for informing a plurality of terminals receiving the same Mobile Broadcast (BCAST) service of an upcoming event such as a BCAST service change in a BCAST system are provided. When receiving a notice of a notification event related to a BCAST service or an Service Guide (SG), a BCAST Subscription Management (SM), including a Notification Generation Function (NTG), creates a notification message about the notification event and sends it to a BCAST Service Distribution/Adaptation (SD/A). The BCAST SD/A sends the notification message to one terminal or a group of terminals through a Broadcast Distribution System (BDS) or an interaction network.

Abstract: A method and system is provided for sharing a service guide or a service guide fragment in a mobile broadcast system supporting a mobile broadcast service. A Broadcast Service Provisioning Client Function (BSP-C) sends a request for the service guide or service guide fragment to a Broadcast Service Provisioning Management Function (BSP-M). The BSP-M transmits the service guide or service guide fragment to the BSP-C if the BSP-M has the service guide or service guide fragment.

Abstract: A roaming service method in a mobile broadcasting system and a system thereof are provided. A terminal receives a service guide from a corresponding visited service provider (Visited SP) when the terminal moves to a roaming area. Abstract: A method and apparatus for reporting a consumption time of a service or content in Audience Measurement (AM), which measures a user consumption pattern of the service or the content is provided. A method for reporting a consumption time of the service or the content in a terminal of a content transmission system includes receiving an encryption key for encrypting the service or the content from a broadcasting server and transmitting a message requesting interpretation of the encryption key to a smart card. The message includes consumption time information of the service or the content.
