  • Patent number: 7238507
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel cytochrome P450-like enzyme (Aspergillus ochraceus 11 alpha hydroxylase) and an oxidoreductase (Aspergillus ochraceus oxidoreductase) isolated from cDNA library generated from the mRNA of Aspergillus ochraceus spores. When the cDNA encoding the 11 alpha hydroxylase was co-expressed in Spodoptera frugiperda (Sf-9) insect cells with the cDNA encoding human oxidoreductase as an electron donor, it successfully catalyzed the conversion of the steroid substrate 4-androstene-3,17-dione (AD) to 11 alpha-hydroxy-AD as determined by HPLC analysis. The invention also relates to nucleic acid molecules associated with or derived from these cDNAs including complements, homologues and fragments thereof, and methods of using these nucleic acid molecules, to generate, for example, polypeptides and fragments thereof. The invention also relates to the generation of antibodies that recognizes the A.

  • Patent number: 7231570
Abstract: A multi-level scan compression method and apparatus for reducing test data volume and test application time in a scan-based integrated circuit without reducing the speed of the scan chain operation in scan-test mode or self-test mode. The scan-based integrated circuit contains one or more scan chains, each scan chain including one or more scan cells coupled in series. Two or more decompressors are embedded between N compressed scan inputs and M scan chains, where N<M, to broadcast compressed scan data patterns driven through the N compressed scan inputs into decompressed scan data patterns stored in the M scan chains. The multi-level scan compression approach allows to speed up the shift-in/shift-out operation during decompression using two or more decompressors separated by intermediate scan chains. Two or more compressors are separated by intermediate scan chains to speed up the shift-in/shift-out operation during compression.

  • Patent number: 7228479
Abstract: An analog built-in self-test (BIST) methodology based on the IEEE 1149.4 mixed signal test bus standard. The on-chip generated triangular stimuli are transmitted to the analog circuit under test (CUT) through the analog test buses, and their test responses are quantized by the dual comparators. The quantized results are then fed into a pair of counters to record the sampled counts for comparison in the decision circuit. A pass/fail indication is then generated in the decision circuit to indicate success or failure of the CUT after the BIST operation is complete.

  • Patent number: 7210082
Abstract: A method for performing ATPG (automatic test pattern generation) and fault simulation in a scan-based integrated circuit, based on a selected clock order in a selected capture operation, in a selected scan-test mode or a selected self-test mode. The method comprises compiling 704 the RTL (register-transfer level) or Gate-Level HDL (hardware description language) code 701 based on the Input Constraints 702 and a Foundry Library 703, into a Sequential Circuit Model 705. The Sequential Circuit Model 705 is then transformed 706 into an equivalent Combinational Circuit Model 707 for performing Forward and/or Backward Clock Analysis 708 to determine the driving and observing clocks for all inputs and outputs of all combinational logic gates in the Combinational Circuit Model 707. The analysis results are used for Uncontrollable/Unobservable Labeling 709 of selected inputs and outputs of the combinational logic gates.

  • Patent number: 7191373
Abstract: A method and apparatus for inserting design-for-debug (DFD) circuitries in an integrated circuit to debug or diagnose DFT modules, including scan cores, memory BIST (built-in self-test) cores, logic BIST cores, and functional cores. The invention further comprises using a DFD controller for executing a plurality of DFD commands to debug or diagnosis the DFT modules embedded with the DFD circuitries. When used alone or combined together, these DFD commands will detect or locate physical failures in the DFT modules in the integrated circuit on an evaluation board or system using a low-cost DFT debugger. A computer-aided design (CAD) method is further developed to synthesize the DFD controller and DFD circuitries according to the IEEE 1149.1 Boundary-scan Std. The DFD controller supports, but is not limited to, the following DFD commands: RUN_SCAN, RUN_MBIST, RUN_LBIST, DBG_SCAN, DBG_MBIST, DBG_LBIST, DBG_FUNCTION, SELECT, SHIFT, SHIFT_CHAIN, CAPTURE, RESET, BREAK, RUN, STEP, and STOP.

  • Publication number: 20070034724
Abstract: A lubricating pack specifically designed for paper shredders, including a piece of oiled paper saturated with lubricant placed between two jackets that are each provided at an inner layer thereof with an oil-seepage-proof film. The two jackets are then formed with a first seal sealed around their peripheries to form a lubricating pack having a laminating construction. The lubricating pack is fed into the paper shredder through a paper inlet to the paper shredder under auto mode to be shredded by the paper shredder. Accordingly, the cutting blades of the paper shredder would be able to contact the lubricant contained in the oiled paper during the process of shredding the lubricating pack, so as to provide lubrication between cutting blades of the paper shredder thereby extending the lifespan of the paper shredder.

  • Publication number: 20060246732
Abstract: This invention is directed to a process for etching a semiconductor device using an etchant composition to form a predetermined etched pattern therein. The semiconductor device typically has a plurality of layers. At least one of the layers comprises a refractory metal, refractory metal alloy or refractory metal silicide. The etchant composition contains a high concentration of chlorine. The source (or TCP) power is decreased over that of conventional methods, and the bias (or RF) power is increased. Using such an etchant composition, along with the adjusted power levels, uniform etching and increased oxide selectivity is achieved.

  • Publication number: 20060242502
Abstract: A broadcaster, system, and method for reducing test data volume and test application time in an ATE (automatic test equipment) in a scan-based integrated circuit. The scan-based integrated circuit contains multiple scan chains, each scan chain comprising multiple scan cells coupled in series. The broadcaster is a combinational logic network coupled to an optional virtual scan controller and an optional scan connector. The virtual scan controller controls the operation of the broadcaster. The system transmits virtual scan patterns stored in the ATE and generates broadcast scan patterns through the broadcaster for testing manufacturing faults in the scan-based integrated circuit. The number of scan chains that can be supported by the ATE is significantly increased. Methods are further proposed to reorder scan cells in selected scan chains, to generate the broadcast scan patterns and virtual scan patterns, and to synthesize the broadcaster and a compactor in the scan-based integrated circuit.

  • Patent number: 7091642
Abstract: A cylinder/magnet assembly for a field of an electric machine, such as a stator of a brush type motor or a rotor of a brushless motor, alternator or generator, is formed by stamping a blank to form anchors extending upwardly from a surface of the blank and stamping holes in the blank where first and second portions of the anchors meet an inner surface of the cylinder to facilitate rolling of the cylinder from the blank. After a cylinder is rolled from the blank, pre-formed magnets are placed around an inner surface of the cylinder and plastic molded around the magnets and anchors to secure the magnets to the cylinder. In an aspect of the invention, the holes act as magnetic chokes. In another aspect of the invention, the anchors are formed as flux spreaders. In another aspect of the invention, the north and south poles of a cylinder and magnet assembly have unequal distribution angles.
