  • Patent number: 7180898
Abstract: A communication system is provided of selecting the most approximate line from two or more connectable lines and connecting with a provider through the selected line in the mobile communication environment. The mobile device and the public phone of each phone company provide a standard wireless data communication facility, respectively. The public line pre-stores information about dial-up numbers of access points and a transmission speed of an internet provider. When the user starts the communication, the mobile device operates to obtain the most approximate access point information from each of the public phones and then dial up the most approximate access point through the public phone/line well-specified to the user.

  • Patent number: 7137681
Abstract: According to the present invention, for at least one specific type of ink drop from among a plurality of types of ink drops of different quantities of ink, dot data can be generated in such a way as to compensate for error of ink amount for each specific type of ink drop with reference to information representing error of ink amount for given specific type of ink drops. By means of this, even if there is deviation in error of ink amount for each of different types of ink drops, color can be reproduced more accurately.

  • Publication number: 20060207085
Abstract: A method is provided for manufacturing a battery having a case where the sites to which high stresses are applied are strongly welded. The case has a closed bottom and an opened top. The cross section of a peripheral wall of the case defining the opened top is substantially polygon, and a thickness of the peripheral wall is thick at middle portion and thin at distal end portions of a side that is longest among sides defining the polygon. The method includes steps of contacting a seal plate against a top surface of the peripheral wall of the case to close the opened top of the case, and scanning and radiating an energy beam along the contacting line between the peripheral wall of the case and the seal plate continuously. The energy beam having large energy is radiated at a position where the peripheral wall is thick and the energy beam having small energy is radiated at positions where the peripheral wall is thin.

  • Patent number: 7107012
Abstract: A radio antenna of a radio base station is a directional antenna. The antenna searches for a peripheral radio base station by changing the directivity of the antenna. An operating channel and electric field intensity of the other base station are acquired by the searching and then stored as positional information. The operating channel of the base station, the directivity of the antenna, and a radio wave intensity communication area are set according to the acquired positional information. Further, the positional information is transmitted and received to and from the other base station to set the base station. When the base station was moved or when external noise occurred abruptly, channel change and change of a cell shape of the directional antenna are carried out. Consequently, interference between the base stations can be minimized and optimum setting of the channel and communicatable area can be realized.

  • Patent number: 7019867
Abstract: A method and system for correcting a deviation in color balance in an image output device, without the need for performing a direct adjustment to the hardware. Image output devices may include printers, displays, or other image output devices. Deviation data may be derived from the output characteristics of every element color of an image output device, and stored at the image output device. A color correction device is provided which has the ability to receive the deviation data, and produce image data having a color correction based on this deviation data. The system can then communicate the color corrected image data to the image output device. The color correction system also may be configured to discriminate among a plurality of image output devices, with each image output device having the ability to store their own inherent output characteristics at the image output device.

  • Publication number: 20060033048
Abstract: A method of generation of exposure data for charged particle beam exposure using a block mask, in which a first transmission beam is formed by transmission of a charged particle beam through a rectangular first transmission aperture; a second transmission beam is formed by causing the first transmission beam to be transmitted through a block mask having a plurality of discrete patterns; and the second transmission beam irradiates an object for exposure. This exposure data generation method has a step of generating irradiation position data of the first transmission beam on the block mask, such that the Y-direction or X-direction edge of the first transmission beam is positioned in a common isolated area in the X direction or Y direction of the plurality of discrete patterns in the block mask.

  • Patent number: 6954289
Abstract: Although almost the same color reproducibility as with a reference print head has been attained in single-color printing, inconsistency in color reproducibility has occurred in mixed-color printing. Where ejection of color ink or any other recording material for forming dots on such a printer as an ink-jet printer (31) varies due to an instrumental error, it is burdensome to set up a degree of adjustment for correcting inconsistency in each color.

  • Patent number: 6914499
Abstract: A dielectric filter includes a conductive cover formed by bending a metal plate and forming at least one inwardly projecting portion at a predetermined position along the bent portion. The inner surface of the at least one inwardly projecting portion abuts on an open circuit surface or edge of a dielectric block. Thus, the distance between the open circuit surface of the filter and the conductive cover is reliably maintained and unnecessary coupling between adjacent resonators is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20050048952
Abstract: A method for distributing a cipher code in a wireless network system including a mobile terminal and a fixed station includes the steps of making a registration request from a mobile terminal to the fixed station as a terminal with which communication is to be made, changing a communication range of the fixed station in accordance with the registration request and distributing an initial cipher code from the fixed station to the mobile terminal while the communication range changed. It is possible to safely make initial registration of a user and to distribute a cipher code used for communication by use of a fixed station alone, to limit the cost of an entire system and to reduce burden to a manager.
