  • Publication number: 20250175651
Abstract: In a method to improve the coding efficiency of high-dynamic range (HDR) images, a decoder parses sequence processing set (SPS) data from an input coded bitstream to detect that an HDR extension syntax structure is present in the parsed SPS data. It extracts from the HDR extension syntax structure post-processing information that includes one or more of a color space enabled flag, a color enhancement enabled flag, an adaptive reshaping enabled flag, a dynamic range conversion flag, a color correction enabled flag, or an SDR viewable flag. It decodes the input bitstream to generate a preliminary output decoded signal, and generates a second output signal based on the preliminary output signal and the post-processing information.

  • Publication number: 20250168218
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for distributed extended reality (XR) computing optimization for an edge node connectable to a client device and an XR content server across a network. XR computing is apportioned to the edge node and the client device so that a wide variety of client devices, from light to heavy, are accommodated based on metrics of the edge node, the client device, the XR content server, and the network. Some of the apportionments include extraction of feature descriptors by the client device to avoid transmitting full image data from the client device to the edge node. The feature descriptors are used for tracking initialization and frame to frame tracking. Overall system performance is improved delivering an improved user experience. • Publication number: 20250162413
Abstract: Sensors disposed on a steering wheel sense contact of a user's hands with the steering wheel. The sensors are arranged into several zones that wrap around the steering wheel. Each zone is adjacent to at least two other zones. Data from the sensors is continuously received by input/output circuitry. Control circuitry determines a time series of pressures for each zone based on the data from the sensors. The time series of pressures for the zones are stored in a data structure that is looped. The time series of pressures of the data structure is compared to a time series of pressures of a reference data structure. An action to control at least one element of the vehicle is performed based on the comparison. In some embodiments, the steering wheel includes handlebars and the sensors are disposed in handlebar grips.

Abstract: Implementations described herein relate to determining user post items related to search content using user context data. In some implementations, a computer-implemented method includes inputting search content to a first content encoder to generate a first embedding that semantically represents the search content. A plurality of user post items and a plurality of associated creator context data items are input to one or more second content encoders to generate a corresponding plurality of second embeddings that semantically represent the user post items and the creator context data items. A respective similarity measure is determined between the first embedding and one or more of the second embeddings, and a result set of user post item(s) are output that are associated with the highest similarity of the second embeddings to the first embedding.

  • Publication number: 20250149795
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a circularly polarized satellite antenna based on a magnetoelectric dipole. A floor is slotted, and an equivalent magnetoelectric dipole is excited using a grounded right-angle folded dipole, while two square parasitic patches are loaded to enhance a radiation performance, thus exciting a broadband high-gain circularly polarized radiation beam. The present disclosure utilizes the L-shaped right-angle folded dipole to simultaneously realize an ingenious combination of an electric dipole and a magnetic dipole, realizing a good circularly polarized radiation performance. At the same time, the present disclosure realizes circularly polarized radiation using a form of the magnetic dipole, which results in a stable pattern and a high gain.

  • Publication number: 20250150651
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and systems, implemented by a device such as a client device, for seamlessly inserting a supplemental content item into a content item to negate the user's need for rewinding to a point prior to the interruption of the content item by the supplemental content item. The client device accesses the supplemental content insertion logic to identify a default supplemental content insertion point between two consecutive segments of the content item. The client device analyzes the two consecutive segments of the content item to identify a natural supplemental content insertion point within one of the two consecutive segments. The client device then decodes a first set of frames of the content item up to the natural supplemental content insertion point, a second set of frames of the supplemental content item and a third set of frames of the content item from the natural supplemental content insertion point.

  • Publication number: 20250135991
Abstract: An audible output of a vehicle is controlled based on a variety of driving characteristics and ambient conditions. In response to receiving an indication of a triggering of an activator of a horn of a vehicle, the system determines a driving characteristic of the vehicle based on vehicle sensor data. Then, based on the driving characteristic(s) determined, and/or based on the ambient conditions, an audible output tune is automatically set for output by the vehicle. A tune and volume of the audible output selected when the driving conditions and ambient conditions indicate an emergency situation will be different from the tune and volume selected for a non-threatening situation. Also, an audible output tune may be selected to be output at a later time when the vehicle reaches a destination to signal a person at the destination that the vehicle has arrived.
