  • Patent number: 4843226
Abstract: For protecting a semiconductor chips from an electric destruction due to electrostatic charges. A card-shaped information storage medium used for providing data information to an information processing unit comprising (a) a board member of an insulating material having an first occupation area for at least one semiconductor chip capable of preserving the data informations and a second occupation area for a plurality of communication terminals electrically coupled to the semiconductor chip, (b) a protective member covering the semiconductor chip and exposing the communication terminals to the outside thereof, and (c) a protective shutter movable into or out of the protective member for shifting a position of the information storage medium between a closed state and an open state. The communication terminals are covered with the protective shutter in the closed state, thereby preventing the communication terminals from a human body with the electrostatic charges.

  • Patent number: 4816903
Abstract: A film checking apparatus which picks up images of two master films placed on two transparent film tables, displays the obtained images thereof on a color monitor thereby allowing for checking of the master films. The apparatus aids the film checking by providing a device for comparing the master films, detecting for the differences and finally displaying the differences in a blinking manner. The apparatus also provides two light sources and a means to switching between the two light sources depending on whether the object is of transmissive-type or reflective-type.

  • Patent number: 4469264
Abstract: An apparatus for feeding a paper having holes utilizes an endless belt which contains a plurality of pins which are mounted so that they are positioned to a side of an outer periphery of the endless belt. The pins fit into holes in the paper to feed the paper as the endless belt is driven by two main pulleys. An auxiliary pulley is rotatably mounted on one of the shafts which supports one of the main pulleys in such a manner that the auxiliary pulley confronts and supports the bottoms of the pins, thus preventing the pins from being deflected inward. Because the auxiliary pulley is driven with one of the main pulleys, friction between the bottoms of the pins and the auxiliary pulley is minimized.

  • Patent number: 4444522
Abstract: A clamping device for a printer has a plurality of sideways-slippage preventing rollers housed in a roller housing which is fixed to a rear face of a wall of a ribbon shield. These preventing rollers prevent the printing paper from slipping sideways during a printing operation. A plurality of pressing plates are fixed on a hammer cover and biased towards the preventing roller by springs. A printing paper travels between the preventing rollers and the pressing plates, and the preventing rollers are oriented to rotate in the direction in which the printing paper travels. Since the preventing rollers prevent the printing paper from slipping sideways during printing, the printing lines are aligned properly. The preventing rollers also exert a minimum forward clamping force on the printing paper, which thus prevents the paper from tearing.

  • Patent number: 4391899
Abstract: An improved method of making a half-tone gravure printing plate in which a planographic or relief half-tone positive and a gravure screen are printed on a photosensitive resist forming material. In the method, the lowering of the quality of printed matter resulting from formation of moire pattern can be prevented and an error caused by the reproduction step between a new half-tone positive and an original half-tone positive can be corrected.

  • Patent number: 4255136
Abstract: A furnace for the heat treatment of wire materials, comprising a cylindrical furnace body having holes at both ends through which a wire material is inserted into and out of the furnace body, a combustion chamber formed within the furnace body, a burner provided at one end portion of the furnace body and adjacent to the combustion chamber, and a discharge pipe mounted near the downstream edge of the combustion chamber for discharging the waste gas. The burner comprises a free space through which the wire material is inserted, a fuel-air mixture chamber surrounding the free space, and injection nozzles communicating with the fuel-air mixture chamber and serving to inject the mixture into the combustion chamber. The injection nozzles are arranged to permit the injected streams of fuel-air mixture to make whirling motions in the same direction along the inner wall of the combustion chamber in such a manner as to be free from direct contact with the wire material running along the axis of the combustion chamber.
