  • Patent number: 8731019
Abstract: [Objective] To restrict degradation of optical characteristics due to a resin adhesive containing an inorganic filler. [Means] The width d of a lens body 31 and the height of an inorganic filler 341 in a direction orthogonal to the surface of a substrate are set such that an inclination angle of a collimating lens 3 does not exceed a maximum tolerable inclination angle when the inorganic filler 341 is positioned near the width-wise center of the lens body 31. As a result, even when the inorganic filler 341 is inserted between the bottom surface of the collimating lens 3 and the top surface of the substrate 4, degradation of the optical characteristics of the laser module including skewing of the optical axis of the laser light and distortion of the beam shape of the laser light can be restricted.

  • Publication number: 20130212335
Abstract: A storage system is migrated without stopping service provision by a host computer. By this means, in a migration-source storage system, data of the cache memory is destaged, and, next, data received from the host computer is directly written in a logical unit by bypassing the cache memory. On the other hand, in a migration-destination storage system, communication with the migration-source storage system is performed to set setting information of a logical unit of the migration object into a logical unit management table and set a writing mode for the cache memory to a cache-bypass mode. After that, the migration-source storage system blocks a path to the host computer. The migration-destination storage system receives a report of the path block from the migration-source storage system and then opens a path between the own system and the host computer.

  • Publication number: 20130111270
Abstract: The present invention enables program codes to be shared among processors 211. To prevent the debug operation of one processor 211 from affecting the debug operation of the other processors 211, when detecting a breakpoint during execution of a program code, a debugger 410 or a debugger stub 520 controls the execution of the program code while exchanging breakpoint information 800 with the other debuggers 410 or the other debugger stubs 520. Furthermore, a circuit 170 is created which prevents the program code being carelessly rewritten due to thermal runaway, a bug, and the like of a processor 211, and the protection setting by the protection logic 71 in the circuit 170 is released only in case the processor 211 accesses each of a plurality of registers from 65 to 67 in specified order.

Abstract: [Objective] To prevent change in a direction of an optical axis of a split light within a plane parallel to a surface on which the beam splitter is installed. [Means] A laser module including a laser light source that emits a laser light and a beam splitter that splits a portion of the laser light emitted from the laser light source. The beam splitter includes a first reflective surface and a second reflective surface that are parallel to each other. The first reflective surface transmits a first portion of the laser light and reflects a second portion of the laser light to the second reflective surface. The second reflective surface receives the second portion of the laser light from the first reflective surface and reflects received laser light in a direction parallel to the laser light emitted from the laser light source.

  • Publication number: 20120020379
Abstract: Above a Peltier element disposed on a bottom of a case, bases that are platy members of two or more layers and have different expansion coefficients from each other are stacked. At least on a partial region of the base serving as an uppermost layer, a suppression member having an expansion coefficient different from that of the base serving as the uppermost layer is further provided. An optical element is disposed on the base and/or the suppression member. Even when a warp is likely to occur in the Peltier element, a stacked-plate structure of the base, the base, and the suppression member suppresses an occurrence of such a warp, whereby warps hardly occur in the base and the suppression member, and a shift hardly occurs in an optical axis between a beam splitter and an etalon.

  • Publication number: 20090007785
Abstract: When sulfur oxides are present in mercury vapor-containing gas, the adsorption of mercury vapor by activated carbon is inhibited. Therefore, there has been demand for development of a method for effective adsorption removal of mercury vapor even in the coexistence of sulfur oxides. Efficient and long-term removal of mercury vapor was made successful by contacting an activated carbon adsorbent consisting of 100 parts by weight of activated carbon impregnated with 5 to 70 parts by weight of only an alkali metal halide, with mercury vapor in sulfur oxide-containing gas.

  • Patent number: 7275725
Abstract: When a vacuum-suction tool stand (1) is to be stuck to a table (2), a valve (16) is rotated to a position so that a knob (163) comes to the right side thereof viewed from the front to establish communication between an air suction hole (132) and a cavity (131). Then, by sucking the air within the cavity (131) through the air suction hole (132) using a suction pump (not shown) to make the inside of the cavity (131) close to a vacuum state, thereby the vacuum-suction tool stand (1) is stuck to the table (2). To release suction, the knob (163) of the valve (16) is rotated clockwise by 90 degrees. Then, the communication between an air release hole (15) and the cavity (131) is established and the air is supplied to the cavity (131) in a substantially vacuum state, and thus the vacuum-suction state is released.
