    Abstract: A tetraode field-emission display and a method of fabricating the same are disclosed. A mesh is disposed between an anode plate and a cathode plate. The mesh has a gate layer and a converging electrode layer separated by an insulation layer to form a sandwich structure. The mesh has a plurality of apertures in correspondence with each set of anode and cathode. A glass plate is placed between the mesh and the anode to serve as a spacer. The converging electrode layer is facing the anode plate, such that the divergent range of an electron beam emitted by an electron emission source can be restricted. Thereby, the electron beam can impinge the corresponding anode more precisely.

    Abstract: A method and a structure for a converging-type electron-emission source of a field-emission display are disclosed. A substrate is provided, and a silver paste is used to form a first electrode layer on the substrate by the process such as thick-film photolithography screen-printing. At least one pit is formed in the first electrode layer by etching, for example. A passivation layer is formed on the first electrode layer around the pit. A second electrode layer is formed in the recess by photolithography or electrophoresis, for example. Preferably, the second electrode layer is formed with a top surface lower than a periphery of the pit, such that a converging opening of the second electrode layer is formed over the second electrode layer. The passivation layer is then removed, followed by a step of sintering process.

The backlight source comprises a first phosphor with a first peak emission wavelength between 440nm and 460nm, a second phosphor with a second peak emission wavelength between 540nm and 550nm, and a third phosphor with third peak emission wavelength between 500nm and 530nm. The intensity ratio of the second peak emission wavelength to the first peak emission wavelength ranges from 0 to about 3.6, and the intensity ratio of the third peak emission wavelength to the first peak emission wavelength ranges from about 0.8 to about 2.7.

    Abstract: A bearing structure. A bearing is disposed in a bushing and includes a through hole and a slot. The slot receives a lubricant. An inner wall forming the through hole includes at lease one spiral-shaped furrows for guiding the lubricant into the slot. The inner wall of the bearing is divided into a first section and a second section by the slot. The spiral-shaped furrows on the first section and on the second section have different spiral directions for separately guiding the lubricant into the slot. The lubricant received in the slot can be lubricating oil. The bearing structure prevents leakage of the lubricant and effectively retains the lubricant in the bearing.

Next, the optical pickup head of an unadjusted optical disc drive is accelerated/decelerated under the same condition, and the speed-detection device outputs a speed signal level. Finally, the gain of a programmable gain amplifier is adjusted until the speed signal is equal to the standard signal.

    Abstract: A rapid thermal annealing (“RTA”) process providing for an RTA equipment is disclosed. The RTA equipment has a pyrometer providing for measuring an operation parameter, e.g., a temperature of the RTA process. The RTA process comprises steps of proceeding a first RTA step to a wafer in the RTA equipment, then comparing a measured value of the operation parameter with a reference range of value of the operation parameter, thereafter proceeding a second RTA step to the wafer in the RTA equipment when the measured value of the operation parameter is in between the reference range of value of the operation parameter. When the measured value of the operation parameter is out of the reference range of value of the operation parameter, the RTA equipment is turned off, and the wafer is unloaded from the RTA equipment and loaded into another RTA equipment to complete the RTA process.

    Abstract: A multichannel fiber optic module has an electromagnetic shield surrounding high frequency electrical components which is electrically and mechanically coupled to one or more guide rails near edges of a printed circuit board. The one or more guide rails of the printed circuit board include a ground trace on the top and/or bottom surfaces of the printed circuit board. The fiber optic module can be hot inserted into a module cage which has guide rail slots for mating with the guide rails of the fiber optic module. Through the guide rail slots, electromagnetic radiation from the fiber optic module is shunted to a ground plane to which the module cage is coupled on a host chassis ground. Standard singular fiber receptacles are used for the parallel data link modules to allow field cable termination.
