    Abstract: A stereo projection optical system, includes a first polarizing beam splitter configured for separating a light input into a first polarized light component and a second polarized light component; a first transmission-type spatial light modulator configured for receiving the first polarized light component; a second transmission-type spatial light modulator configured for receiving the second polarized light component; a second polarizing beam splitter positioned to receive the light outputs of the first, second spatial light modulators. The first and second transmission-type spatial light modulators respectively generate two images formed by the first polarized light component and the second polarized light component with spatial information. When a viewer wears glasses that have two polarizing lenses whose polarization directions are perpendicular to each other, the viewer can perceive projected images as being three-dimensional.

A lateral surface of the package body is substantially aligned with a lateral surface of the substrate unit. The package body defines openings that at least partially expose respective ones of the connecting elements. At least one of the connecting elements has a width WC, and at least one of the openings has a width WU adjacent to an upper surface of the package body, such that WU>WC.

    Abstract: An electric pencil sharpener includes a housing unit having an opening, a driving member driven by a motor, a cutting unit, and a panel unit. The cutting unit includes an outer frame mounted removably in the housing unit and including a ring gear, an inner frame disposed pivotally within the outer frame, and at least one cutting member disposed pivotally on the inner frame. The inner frame has a driven portion connected co-rotatably and removably to the driving member, and a cutting groove. The cutting member has a blade portion adjacent to the cutting groove, and a planetary gear portion meshing with the ring gear. The panel unit is mounted removably to the housing unit for covering the opening, and has a pencil-feeding hole. When the panel unit is removed from the housing unit, the cutting unit can be taken out of the housing unit through the opening.

    Abstract: A scanning method for determining the touch position of a touch input apparatus is disclosed. First of all, a first exposure process on light sensors of the touch input apparatus by light emitting device of the touch input apparatus is performed. Then the light sensors are scanned. A light sensor generating a signal with a maximum value is located. A region of partial scan of the light sensors is determined according to the position of the light sensor generating the signal with the maximum value. A second exposure process is performed on the light sensors. Then the light sensors within the region of partial scan are scanned. A light sensor generating a signal with a maximum value within the region of partial scan is located and a next region of partial scan is determined. The maximum value of the signal is calculated and the maximum value of the signal is compared to a predetermined value to determine whether the maximum value is higher than the predetermined value.

The encapsulant composition having a high refractive index can be used for a solid state light emitting device to enhance light extraction efficiency.

    Abstract: A fabrication method of a trenched power semiconductor structure with a schottky diode is provided. Firstly, a drain region is formed in a substrate. Next, at least two gate structures are formed above the drain region, and then, a body and at least a source region are formed between the two adjacent gate structures. Thereafter, a first dielectric structure is formed on the gate structure to shield the gate structure. Then, a contact window is formed in the body and has side surface thereof adjacent to the source region to expose the source region. Afterward, a second dielectric structure is formed in the contact window. Next, by using the second dielectric structure as an etching mask, the body is etched to form a narrow trench extending to the drain region below the body. Finally, a metal layer is filled into the contact window and the narrow trench.

    Abstract: A microfluidic system for creating encapsulated droplets whose shells can be further removed comprises: two electrode plates and a spacing structure disposed between the two electrode plates. One of the electrode plates has three reservoir electrodes and a plurality of channel electrodes. The three electrodes are respectively used for accommodating a shell liquid, a core liquid, and a removing liquid which is able to remove the shell liquid. The channel electrodes are used for communicating droplets among the three reservoir electrodes. Via these arrangements, the microfluidic system can create a quantitative shell droplet and a quantitative core droplet, and then merge the shell and core droplets to form an encapsulated droplet. Moreover, the shell of the encapsulated droplet can be removed by mixing it with the removing liquid. This invention is further provided with a method for creating an encapsulated droplet with a removable shell.
