    Abstract: A method for soft configuring communication a memory device to act as a Key Card that can switch on or off some particular functions of either an application program or the memory device itself. The method comprising the steps of: connecting the memory device to an external device; running a specific application program on the external device, the application program writing and storing a specific data into the memory device, the specific data including at least a command and a key; the memory device generating a response value according to the command and key of the specific data; and the external device reading the response value from the memory device and checking a status of the response value; if the response value is checked to be valid, then the application program will be able to access the memory device by using functions defined by the command; if the response value is checked to be invalid, then functions of the application program will be restricted.

    Abstract: A laptop computer includes a housing comprising a top keyboard and a manually operated switch having a first position for showing a predetermined operating mode, and a second position for showing a Bluetooth operating mode; a display hingedly connected to a rear edge of the housing; a CPU in the housing; and a Bluetooth adaptor in the housing and comprising a switch circuit, a MCU, a translator, and a Bluetooth device communication module. In the predetermined operating mode key codes are sent to the CPU via the switch circuit. In the Bluetooth operating mode the key codes are sent to the translator via the switch circuit and the MCU, the translator translates the key codes to Bluetooth key codes and sends same to the Bluetooth device communication module, and the Bluetooth device communication module transmits the Bluetooth key codes to a handheld telecommunications device as commanded by the MCU.

    Abstract: A microfluidic system for creating encapsulated droplets whose shells can be further removed comprises: two electrode plates and a spacing structure disposed between the two electrode plates. One of the electrode plates has three reservoir electrodes and a plurality of channel electrodes. The three electrodes are respectively used for accommodating a shell liquid, a core liquid, and a removing liquid which is able to remove the shell liquid. The channel electrodes are used for communicating droplets among the three reservoir electrodes. Via these arrangements, the microfluidic system can create a quantitative shell droplet and a quantitative core droplet, and then merge the shell and core droplets to form an encapsulated droplet. Moreover, the shell of the encapsulated droplet can be removed by mixing it with the removing liquid. This invention is further provided with a method for creating an encapsulated droplet with a removable shell.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for detecting a lock error in a sensorless motor are disclosed, where the apparatus includes a multiplexer, a negative booster, a comparator and a timer. The multiplexer can receive a coil voltage from the sensorless motor. The negative booster can receive a neutralizing voltage from the sensorless motor and drop the neutralizing voltage. The comparator can compare the coil voltage with the dropped neutralizing voltage for outputting a zero-crossing signal. The timer can count time duration during the zero-crossing signal maintained at the a logic level and determine the lock error in the sensorless motor when the time duration exceeds a predetermined period.

    Abstract: A power semiconductor structure with schottky diode is provided. In the step of forming the gate structure, a separated first polysilicon structure is also formed on the silicon substrate. Then, the silicon substrate is implanted with dopants by using the first polysilicon structure as a mask to form a body and a source region. Afterward, a dielectric layer is deposited on the silicon substrate and an open penetrating the dielectric layer and the first polysilicon structure is formed so as to expose the source region and the drain region below the body. The depth of the open is smaller than the greatest depth of the body. Then, a metal layer is filled into the open to electrically connect to the source region and the drain region.

A first and a second self-aligned silicide layer are respectively formed on the gate polysilicon structure and the source doped region. The dielectric spacer forms an appropriate distance between the first and the second self-aligned silicide layer.
