  • Publication number: 20090058817
Abstract: A liquid crystal displayer for preventing the generation of moisture includes a front cover, a touch panel, a nameplate, a partitioning plate and a liquid crystal displayer module. With the partitioning plate dividing a region between the touch panel and the liquid crystal displayer module into a first space and a second space, the first space is smaller, whereas the second space is larger. After the liquid crystal displayer module is supplied with electricity, the hot air staying in the first space is less. Further, the heat-obstructing effect of the partitioning plate causes the hot air not to condense in the second space, and thus it is not easy to generate a temperature difference from the external environment, thereby preventing the generation of mist.

  • Patent number: 7480904
Abstract: An optical disc drive includes a firmware memory, a buffer memory, and a system control chip. The system control chip includes a processor and a memory update controller. When the optical disc drive is under a normal mode, the memory update controller is in an idle state. The processor controls the optical disc drive to fetch an update firmware from an optical disc and store the update firmware into the buffer memory. When the optical disc drive is under a firmware update mode, the processor is in an idle state. The memory update controller fetches the update firmware from the buffer memory and stores the update firmware into the firmware memory without the processor executing an update routine code.

  • Patent number: 7480224
Abstract: The invention discloses a decoding apparatus and the method thereof for decoding a signal retrieved by an optical information reproducing system from an optical information recording medium. N legal codes are predetermined. According to the invention, first, the retrieved signal is converted into a data stream. Then, in a Viterbi decoding manner, the data stream is decoded into a digital code in accordance with a level of the data stream and N reference levels. Then, the binary code is decoded by a binary array into one of the N legal codes, and each of the N legal codes corresponds to one of N reference levels. In particular, the N reference levels are corrected by various detected conditions to enhance the correctness of decoded data.

  • Patent number: 7479417
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a pixel electrode contact structure of a thin-film transistors liquid crystal display is disclosed. First, a transparent substrate having a first insulating layer thereon is provided. Afterward, a first metal layer and a second metal layer are sequentially formed on the substrate and then be patterned by a halftone technology and an etching process, wherein the second metal layer is removed within the pixel electrode contact area. In the meantime, the drain lines of the thin-film transistor comprising the first metal layer and the second metal layer are formed. Next, a patterned passivation layer is formed on the substrate. Finally, a pixel electrode layer directly connecting the first metal layers within the pixel electrode contact structure is formed on the substrate. This invention provides the pixel electrode contact structure with low contact resistance and prevents the current leakage from the drain line to the storage capacitor.

  • Patent number: 7432980
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for reducing analog PLL (Phase-lock loop) jitter in video ADC application. The HSync/CSync is replaced with a faked HSync signal to be inputted to PLL during vertical blank period. Therefore the analog PLL will only see the faked HSync signal of fixed period as a line-lock trigger signal, while no COAST signal is required. Also, the faked HSync is fine-tuned to match with the external HSync/CSync leading edge to minimize PLL jitter.
