  • Patent number: 7423913
Abstract: A virtual ground nitride read-only memory array has a matrix of nitride read-only memory cells in which during an erase operation the non-erasing side of nitride read-only memory cells are connected to a common node for enhancing the erase uniformity of the nitride read-only memory array. If an operation requests erasing on the left side of nitride read-only memory cells, a positive voltage is supplied from an internal power supply to the left side for each of the nitride read-only memory cells, and the right side for each of the nitride read-only memory cells is discharged to a common node. The voltage level of the common mode is selected to be sufficiently high in order to prevent from punch through while at the same time sufficiently low to maintain the lateral electric field for erase operation to function optimally.

  • Patent number: 7415660
Abstract: An error correction code generator uses an additional static random access memory (SRAM) or a multi-symbol encoder to improve the encoding efficiency. During the encoding operation, the number of the data access of the dynamic random access memory (DRAM) with the row address switching can be reduced considerably via using the additional SRAM or multi-symbol encoder. Hence, the efficiency of the data access of the DRAM is improved and the encoding time of the error correction code generator is reduced.

The optical storage device comprises a physical addressing module, a record-interrupt generator, a data recording controller, a data-interrupt address generator, and a data-reconnecting physical address generator. The physical addressing module provides a reference physical address for recording data onto the optical storage medium. When detecting the interrupt of data recording, the data-interrupt address generator generates the address of the interrupted data. According to the address of the interrupted data, the data-reconnecting physical address generator generates a data-reconnecting physical address.

  • Patent number: 7347228
Abstract: A method for fabricating semiconductor device is provided. A high stress layer formed on, under or on both sides of the transistors of the semiconductor device is employed as a cap layer. A specific region is then defined through photo resistor mask, and the stress of the region is changed by ion implanting. Therefore, compressive stress and tensile stress occur on the high stress layer. According the disclosed method, the high stress layer may simultaneously improve the characteristics of the transistors formed on the same wafer. Further, the mobility of the carriers of the device is enhanced.

  • Publication number: 20080044935
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a pixel electrode contact structure of a thin-film transistors liquid crystal display is disclosed. First, a transparent substrate having a first insulating layer thereon is provided. Afterward, a first metal layer and a second metal layer are sequentially formed on the substrate and then be patterned by a halftone technology and an etching process, wherein the second metal layer is removed within the pixel electrode contact area. In the meantime, the drain lines of the thin-film transistor comprising the first metal layer and the second metal layer are formed. Next, a patterned passivation layer is formed on the substrate. Finally, a pixel electrode layer directly connecting the first metal layers within the pixel electrode contact structure is formed on the substrate. This invention provides the pixel electrode contact structure with low contact resistance and prevents the current leakage from the drain line to the storage capacitor.
