  • Patent number: 7939599
Abstract: This invention is a substantially completely biodegradable high starch polymer using completely biodegradable high polymer polyvinyl alcohol [PVOH] that is made to be compatible with starch. The two ingredients are mixed with the optional addition of elasticity enhancer and supplement agent to better the stability and durability of the products. During the mixing and heating process the starch molecular structures are randomized. The randomized starch molecules, the PVOH, the elasticity enhancer and the supplement then under go the process of co-polymerization. The mixture is then extruded, at a temperature that is above the crystallization temperature of the starch molecules, to form the first stage product, the pellets. The pellets can then be extruded into films using a traditional plastic film extruder.

  • Patent number: 7263016
Abstract: A method and system for pre-charging and biasing a latch-type sense amplifier are described. According to an embodiment of the invention, the data latch portion of the latch-type sense amplifier includes two cross-coupled inverters having two output nodes, and two input nodes. The input nodes of the data-latch are connected to a pair of complementary bit-lines via bias control transistors. The bias control transistors are to pre-charge the input nodes based on the voltage levels of the bit-lines so as to bias the voltage levels at the input nodes in a direction the input nodes will seek upon activation of the sense amplifier.

  • Publication number: 20070152129
Abstract: Light from a plurality of light sources is combined in a beam combiner. Photo-sensors are used to sense the intensity of each light source. Signals from the photo-sensors may be used to control the intensity of the light sources. The photo-sensors can be located in the beam combiner or located in the fringe of a collimated beam produced by the beam combiner. The illumination system has application in laser-scanning micro-projectors, for example.

  • Publication number: 20070138372
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling light intensity from two or more light sources. A timing scheme is used to modulate the light sources. Light from the light sources is combined to form a beam and a photo-sensor senses the beam. In a time interval when only one of the light sources is activated, the signal from the photo-sensor is monitored and used in a feedback control circuit to control the active light source.

  • Patent number: 7041591
Abstract: A method for fabricating a semiconductor package substrate having a plated metal layer on a conductive pad is proposed. First of all, a first resist layer is formed on a semiconductor package substrate having a plurality of traces and conductive pads on a surface thereof. The first resist layer is provided with at least an opening, such that the opening is able to contact the adjacent trace. Subsequently, a conductive film is formed in the opening, such that the conductive film can electrically connect the adjacent trace and conductive pad. After removing the first resist layer, a second resist layer having a plurality of openings is formed on the surface of the substrate to expose the conductive pad. Afterwards, an electroplating process is performed on the substrate, so that a metal layer is formed on an exposed surface of the conductive pad. The second resist layer and the conductive film are then removed from the substrate.

  • Patent number: 6978060
Abstract: A MEMS based optical switch comprises a bottom electrode, a cantilever electrode, and a top electrode, all of which overlay a carrier board. An absence of a voltage differential between the top and bottom electrodes locates the cantilever electrode in a neutral position between the top and bottom electrodes. A presence of a voltage differential between the top and bottom electrodes locates the cantilever electrode in a position biased toward either the top electrode or the bottom electrode.
