    Abstract: Innovations in hash table construction and hash-based block matching for image encoding or video encoding are described. For example, an encoder determines hash values for base-size candidate blocks in a reference picture. The encoder stores, in a hash table, the hash values for the base-size candidate blocks. The encoder encodes a trial-size current block in a current picture. In some cases, the trial-size current block has a block size larger than the base block size. As part of the encoding, the encoder uses hash-based block matching, between base-size current blocks of the trial-size current block and the base-size candidate blocks, to identify a trial-size matching block, if any, in the reference picture. The encoder stores hash values only for the base-size candidate blocks. This can significantly reduce the computational cost and memory cost for hash table construction during encoding, without hurting compression efficiency or the overall speed of encoding.

The first substrate layer covers a side of the first conductive wiring layer and defines first through holes which expose the signal line. Each of the two outer wiring boards includes a second substrate layer and a second conductive wiring layer. The second substrate layer abuts the inner wiring board and defines second through holes aligning with the first through holes, to partially surround the signal line with air of very low dielectric constant. A method for manufacturing the flexible circuit board is also disclosed.

    Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, and machine-readable mediums which determine jitter buffer delay by inputting jitter buffer and currently observed network status information to a machine learned model that is trained using a reinforcement learning (RL) method. The model maps these inputs to an action to compress, stretch, or hold the jitter buffer delay, which is used by a recipient computing device to optimize the jitter buffer delay. The model may be trained using a simulator that uses network traces of past real streaming sessions (e.g., communication sessions) of users. By training the model through reinforcement learning, the model learns to make better decisions through reinforcement in the form of reward signals that reflect the performance of each decision.

    Abstract: A proxy-based thin-client web browsing framework enables cooperative web browsing of multiple devices. The multiple devices may include devices that are not intended for web browsing and have limited or no web browsers and/or user input capabilities.
