  • Publication number: 20250202218
Abstract: A method protects against fault arcs in an electric power distribution system in which electric power from an electric feed point is distributed via a common superordinate main distribution line and from the common main distribution line via multiple subordinate output lines. The main distribution line can be interrupted by a main switch, and each of the output lines can be interrupted by a paired output switch. A fault arc current threshold which, when exceeded by a fault arc current of a fault arc, is a precondition for triggering the main switch is matched to the maximum forward current and/or the output trigger duration of the output switches such that a fault arc is quenched selectively either by one of the output switches or by the main switch before the energy released by the fault arc exceeds a specified energy threshold.

  • Publication number: 20250202217
Abstract: A method for protecting against fault arcs in an electric power distribution system in which electric power from an electric power source is distributed via a common superordinate main distribution line and from the common main distribution line via multiple subordinate output lines. The main distribution line can be interrupted by a main switch, and each of the output lines can be interrupted by a paired output switch. When a fault arc is detected in the power distribution network based on electric voltage and/or current values in the main distribution line, a decision of whether to trigger a quenching process of the fault arc of the main switch or one of the output switches is made on the basis of voltage and/or current values in the output lines.

  • Publication number: 20250172920
Abstract: A method includes the low-complexity ascertainment of process-related energy consumption information for a plurality of automated processes based on measurement data which have been recorded for all of the processes. The energy consumption profile of the plurality of processes is matched to sequence information of the individual processes and changes in the energy consumption of the plurality of processes are assigned to the individual processes based on the sequence information thereof. Energy consumption information for the individual processes is then determined based on changes in the energy consumption of the plurality of processes assigned to the respective processes. A device, a system, a computer program and a computer program product are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20250086358
Abstract: A computer-implemented method in a processing device of an Optical Critical Dimension (OCD) metrology system includes receiving grating parameters as input to a neural network. The neural network generates an output including a predicted optical response of a grating based on the grating parameters. Responsive to determining that a difference between the predicted optical response and a measured optical response of the grating is within a specified threshold, the grating parameters are output as a predicted structure of the grating. Responsive to determining that the difference is greater than the specified threshold, the grating parameters received as input to the neural network are iteratively updated until the predicted optical response and the measured optical response converge.
