    Abstract: To generate a plasma for processing a workpiece, an electron beam is introduced into a plasma reactor chamber by radial injection using an annular electron beam source distributed around the circular periphery of the chamber to provide azimuthal uniformity. The electron beam propagation path is tilted upwardly away from the workpiece, either by tilting the electron beam source or by a magnetic field. In other embodiments, there are plural opposing electron beams from linear electron beam sources directed toward the center of the plasma reactor chamber.

    Abstract: Techniques for fabricating horizontally aligned nanochannels are provided. In one aspect, a method of forming a device having nanochannels is provided. The method includes: providing a SOI wafer having a SOI layer on a buried insulator; forming at least one nanowire and pads in the SOI layer, wherein the nanowire is attached at opposite ends thereof to the pads, and wherein the nanowire is suspended over the buried insulator; forming a mask over the pads, the mask having a gap therein where the nanowire is exposed between the pads; forming an alternating series of metal layers and insulator layers alongside one another within the gap and surrounding the nanowire; and removing the nanowire to form at least one of the nanochannels in the alternating series of the metal layers and insulator layers. A device having nanochannels is also provided.

    Abstract: Methods of removing oxygen from a metal are described. In one example, a method (100) can include forming a mixture (110) including a metal, a calcium de-oxygenation agent, and a salt. The mixture can be heated (120) at a de-oxygenation temperature for a period of time to reduce an oxygen content of the metal, thus forming a de-oxygenated metal. The de-oxygenation temperature can be above a melting point of the salt and below a melting point of the calcium de-oxygenation agent. The de-oxygenated metal can then be cooled (130). The de-oxygenated metal can then be leached with water and acid to remove by-products and obtain a product (140).

    Abstract: Snippets can be represented in a language-independent semantic manner. Each portion of a snippet can be represented by a combination of a semantic representation and a syntactic representation, each in its own dimensional space. A snippet can be divided into portions by constructing a dependency structure based on relationships between words and phrases. Leaf nodes of the dependency structure can be assigned: A) a semantic representation according to pre-defined word mappings and B) a syntactic representation according to the grammatical use of the word. A trained semantic model can assign to each non-leaf node of the dependency structure a semantic representation based on a combination of the semantic and syntactic representations of the corresponding lower-level nodes. A trained syntactic model can assign to each non-leaf node a syntactic representation based on a combination of the syntactic representations of the corresponding lower-level nodes and the semantic representation of that node.

    Abstract: The described technology can provide semantic translations of a selected language snippet. This can be accomplished by mapping snippets for output languages into a vector space; creating predicates that can map new snippets into that vector space; and, when a new snippet is received, generating and matching a vector representing that new snippet to the closest vector for a snippet of a desired output language, which is used as the translation of the new snippet. The procedure for mapping new snippets into the vector space can include creating a dependency structure for the new snippet and computing a vector for each dependency structure node. The vector computed for the root node of the dependency structure is the vector representing the new snippet. A similar process is used to train a transformation function for each possible node type, using language snippets already associated with a dependency structure and corresponding vectors.

The packaging structure provided in periphery of the OLED device between the substrate and the cover plate in the OLED display panel can not only absorb moisture and oxygen well, but also hermetically package the OLED device more tightly, thereby protecting the OLED display panel against erosion of moisture and oxygen and ensuring better hermetical packaging effects.
