Abstract: A semiconductor package may include a substrate having external contact terminals. A semiconductor chip having bonding pads may be formed on the substrate. Conductive bumps may connect the external contact terminals of the substrate to the bonding pads of the semiconductor chip. An underfill may be interposed between the substrate and the semiconductor chip. The underfill may include a first underfill region composed of a first material adjacent to the semiconductor chip and a second underfill region composed of a second material adjacent to the substrate, the first material having a higher glass transition temperature than the second material.

Abstract: A mobile communication terminal and text-to-speech method. The mobile communication terminal includes a display unit for displaying at least one object on a screen; a controller for identifying a depth of an activated object on the screen and finding a speech data set mapped to the identified depth; a speech synthesizer for converting textual contents of the activated object into audio wave data using the found speech data set; and an audio processor for outputting the audio wave data in speech sounds. As a result, textual contents of different objects are output in different voices so the user can easily distinguish one object from another object.

The insulative housing (1) includes four continuous walls (11, 12, 13, 14) with a receiving chamber (10) formed therebetween for accommodating the camera module (5) therein. Each metal spring (3) includes a retaining portion (31) secured in one of the four walls and a pair of spring arms (32, 33) extending from an edge (311) of the retaining portion and extending into the receiving chamber for abutting against the camera module.

The slurry composition may further include a surfactant. In a polishing method using the slurry composition, a polysilicon layer may be rapidly polished, and also dishing and erosion of the polysilicon layer may be suppressed.

Abstract: A multi-unit fuel cell system that includes a common-use reforming unit configured to supply hydrogen to multiple fuel cell units that are installed in multiple units, such as apartments within an apartment building. In one example embodiment, a fuel cell system including a common-use reforming unit and multiple fuel cell units is disclosed. The common-use reforming unit is configured to supply hydrogen to the plurality of fuel cell units. Each fuel cell unit includes a stack unit, an air supplying unit, an integral heat exchange unit, a hot-water supplying unit, an auxiliary heat supplying unit, and an electric output unit.

Abstract: Disclosed is a peripheral device integrated ubiquitous multifunction PC in which an internet phone device and a PLC modem are integrated. The multifunction PC integrated with a monitor includes a main body including a case provided with basic components and an internet telephone apparatus, and an LCD panel at the front side, and a stand at the lower side of the main body to support the main body. The main body includes a power supply of the case and connected to a power line, a modem provided in the case and including a PLC modem connected to the power supply to modulate/demodulate a signal transmitted through the power line, a telephone receiver provided at a side of the case, and a web-camera provided at the front upper side of the case. The stand includes dial buttons and a key telephone that are provided in the front side thereof.

Abstract: Provided are a mobile terminal and a method for sending a short message on the mobile terminal. The method for sending the short message includes setting original and correct character strings required in an address book, each correct character string corresponding to recipients; inputting one short message for the recipients containing an original character string; replacing the original character string in the short message with the correct character strings to generate corrected short messages, each corrected short message corresponding to the recipients; and sending corrected short messages to the corresponding recipients. The method allows a caller to send a corrected short message to each recipient by correcting one short message according to the recipient's attributes. For group transmission to a plurality of recipients, the method enables a caller to write only one original short message that, before transmission, may be corrected to satisfy different attributes of the recipients.

Abstract: A system and a method of adjusting colors of print data are provided. The system includes a printer driver converting a document transmitted from an application program into print data suitable for a printer and transmitting the print data to the printer. A soft proofing unit applies a soft proofing process to the print data converted by the printer driver. A display unit displays the print data obtained through the soft proofing process. A color lookup table (CLUT) supplies a color adjustment value to the print data when the print data is processed in the soft proofing unit. A system and a method of adjusting colors of print data is also provided to allow a user to accurately predict and adjust the colors of a printout, thereby obtaining the printout having the desired colors.

Abstract: A method and a system for mobile terminals to share a storage space, in which a mobile terminal may apply for a shared file space on the network side, and the shared file space may be accessed by the mobile terminal itself or other mobile terminals. In the invention, a mobile terminal applies to a network side server for a shared storage space, and if the application is valid, the network side server allocates a shared storage space to the mobile terminal and generates authentication information or acquires authentication information from the mobile terminal; the mobile terminal or other mobile terminals may read or write from/to the shared storage space via the authentication information. The network side server will automatically release the space after a preset duration of time has expired or the space is released when the mobile terminal that applies for the space submits a release request.

The power train for a hybrid electric vehicle includes an engine, first and second motor generator, a battery, a plurality of planetary gear sets, and a plurality of breaks. The plurality of planetary gear sets convert the driving forces output from the engine, and the first and second motor generators to have an appropriate gear ratio according to a driving state and output the converted driving forces to a driving shaft. The plurality of breaks are provided in the plurality of planetary gear sets and control the output revolution on the basis of the gear ratio determined according to a driving state.

Abstract: A plasma display apparatus and a method of driving the same are disclosed. The plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel including a first electrode and a second electrode, and a driver. The driver supplies a rising signal and a falling signal to the first electrode during a reset period, and supplies a positive polarity signal to the second electrode during the reset period. Further, the driver supplies a sustain bias signal to the second electrode after the passage of a predetermined duration of time from an end time point of the supplying of the positive polarity signal.

The black stretching unit performs black stretch processing on a video signal less than or equal to the maximum value of a black stretch control range in response to a slope of black stretch. The slope of black stretch corresponds to a region between a minimum value and a maximum value of the black stretch control range. The offset adjusting unit adjusts an offset of the black-stretched video signal. The output unit outputs an output video signal corresponding to the offset-adjusted video signal when the offset-adjusted video signal has a positive value in a region less than or equal to the minimum value, and outputs the output video signal corresponding to 0 when the offset-adjusted video signal has a negative value in the region less than or equal to the minimum value.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a Hangeul input keypad and a method using the same. Basic consonants and basic vowels are assigned to the Hangeul input keypad, the number of the basic consonant-assigned keys is less than that of the basic vowel-assigned keys, the consonant keys and the vowel keys are disposed separately, and a shift key converting the basic consonants to extended consonants is disposed adjacent to the consonant keys to which the basic consonants convertible to the extended consonants are assigned. The Hangeul input keypad and method according to the present invention improves speed of Hangeul input, provides convenience in operation of consonant keys and a shift key, and ease of a user's learning of the Hangeul input method by optimizing the disposition of the consonants and vowels.

Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid crystal display device including a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer interposed there between. The first substrate is provided with gate lines and data lines thereon. The gate lines and data lines cross with each other and are insulated from each other. Pixel electrodes are stacked on the gate lines and data lines. Each pixel electrode includes first and second sub-pixel electrodes spaced apart from each other and a connection electrode, which connects the first sub-pixel electrode to the second sub-pixel electrode. The second substrate is provided with a common electrode thereon. The common electrode includes a first domain divider formed on the center of the first sub-pixel electrode and a second domain divider formed on the center of the second sub-pixel electrode.
