Abstract: Provided is a heterogeneous network interworking method for a mobile node having multiple network interfaces. When the mobile node moves from a first network to a second network, the method includes transmitting a packet via a first network interface at the first network, before moving to the second network, by setting up a simple IP address, which is a fixed address of the mobile node, as a sender's address in an inner header of the packet, and an IP address assigned actually to the first network interface as a sender's address in an external header; and transmitting a packet via a second network interface at the second network, after moving to the second network, by setting up said simple IP address as a sender's address in the inner header of the packet and an IP address assigned actually to the second network interface as a sender's address in the external header.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention disclose an event detection method and device. The method includes: predefining event-based detection rules with a predicative context-free grammar; generating by parsing the detection rules a parsing table of pushdown automaton which supports parallel parsing; receiving an event to be detected; and analyzing by a controller the event to be detected according to the parsing table, to obtain a detection result. The present invention is especially applicable to detection of network attack events. The embodiments of the present invention detect the attacks with a predicative context-free grammar on the basis of events, and ensure a close combination of a protocol parsing process and an attack detection process, as well as a close combination of multiple attack detection rules, thus decreasing unnecessary calculations.

Abstract: A schottky diode may include a schottky junction including a well formed in a semiconductor substrate and a first electrode contacting the first well. The well may have a first conductivity type. A first ohmic junction may include a first junction region formed in the well and a second electrode contacting the first junction region. The first junction region may have a higher concentration of the first conductivity type than the well. A first device isolation region may be formed in the semiconductor substrate separating the schottky junction and the first ohmic junction. A well guard having a second conductivity type opposite to the first conductivity type may be formed in the well. At least a portion of the well guard may, be formed under a portion of the schottky junction.

Abstract: In one method of making an organic electroluminescent device, a transfer layer is solution coated on a donor substrate. The transfer layer includes an amorphous, non-polymeric, organic matrix with a light emitting material disposed in the matrix. The transfer layer is then selectively patterned on a receptor. Examples of patterning methods include laser thermal transfer or thermal head transfer. The method and associated materials can be used to form, for example, organic electroluminescent devices.

Abstract: A power amplifier based on a voltage-coupling scheme is disclosed. The power amplifier includes two active elements connected to each other via a primary part of a transformer, in which one of the two active elements is connected to a power-supply voltage of the amplifier, the other one is connected to a ground terminal of the amplifier, and an output power appears in a secondary part of the transformer. Therefore, a potential difference between ports of the active elements is decreased, resulting in increased reliability of the power amplifier.

Abstract: A slurry composition includes about 4.25 to about 18.5 weight percent of an abrasive, about 80 to about 95 weight percent of deionized water, and about 0.05 to about 1.5 weight percent of an additive. The slurry composition may further include a surfactant. In a polishing method using the slurry composition, a polysilicon layer may be rapidly polished, and also dishing and erosion of the polysilicon layer may be suppressed.

Abstract: An electroluminescent device uses nano structures having a wide surface area. The electroluminescent device includes a substrate, a first electrode having a plurality of nano structures formed on an upper surface of the substrate, a dielectric layer formed so as to correspond to the shape of the nano structures, a light emitting layer formed so as to correspond to the shape of the dielectric layer, and a second electrode covering the light emitting layer. A surface of the second electrode facing the light emitting layer is separated by a predetermined distance from a surface of the nano structures.

Deterioration of the light-emitting layer may be prevented and/or reduced to increase durability of the OLED display device.

Abstract: A Multicast and Broadcast Service (MBS) apparatus and method in a Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) system are provided. The method for providing a broadcast service in the BWA system includes requesting, at MBSC, allocation of MBS bursts by transmitting a profile number to BS; and acquiring, at the BS, MBS burst information by accessing to a profile table using the profile number received from the MBSC.

The information of one set of higher resolution image units is formed by convoluting in a first direction the information of the lower resolution image units with a first set of four coefficients. The information of a second set of higher resolution image units is form by convoluting in the first direction the information of the lower resolution image units with a second set of four coefficients. Convolution may also be performed in a second direction with a set of four coefficients. In one example, the image information formed includes intensity information for each image unit.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a projection screen. The screen includes a soft thin elastic transmission sheet having an elongation rate of 50% or more and high transmissivity, the elastic transmission sheet constituting a front surface of the screen, and a thin image sheet for focusing an image projected from a projector, the image sheet constituting a rear surface of the screen. The image sheet may serve as a transmission sheet or a reflection sheet. The image sheet may be directly formed at the screen, or the image sheet may be a hard film attached to the rear of the elastic transmission sheet. A vibration plate is disposed at the outside of the image sheet. Consequently, incident image is transmitted or reflected without any interference with external light, and therefore, it is possible to increase the brightness of the screen by two to five times as compared to a conventional screen.

Al or Fe electrode plate is used for generating the micro bubbles so that phosphorus is removed by Al or Fe ions dissolved from the anode.

Abstract: The present invention provides a one-step process for producing and depositing size-selected nanoparticles onto a substrate surface using ultrafast pulsed laser ablation of solid target materials. The system includes a pulsed laser with a pulse duration ranging from a few femtoseconds to a few tens of picoseconds, an optical setup for processing the laser beam such that the beam is focused onto the target surface with an appropriate average energy density and an appropriate energy density distribution, and a vacuum chamber in which the target and the substrate are installed and the background gases and their pressures are appropriately adjusted.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of discounting a multi-media content item, which is to be sold at a purchase request through a communication network, such as the Internet. The discount is offered in proportion to the number of advertisement (ad) items chosen by a buyer to be added to the multi-media content item. With this method, a multi-media content to be sold and at least one ad content are selected individually through the communication network. The multi-media content and the ad contents are combined with each other, and the price of the combined content is discounted based on how many ad contents are added to the multi-media content. Accordingly, this method can induce increased sales of multi-media contents by discounting goods sold in connection with ads. Additionally, this method helps guarantee the effectiveness of ads by reproducing the ads together with the multi-media content whenever the multi-media content is played back.

Abstract: The present invention provides a cathode produced from a cathode slurry comprising: (a) a cathode active material based on a lithium-containing metal composite oxide or a chalcogenide compound; and (b) an ionic liquid, as well as an electrochemical device including the cathode. The inventive cathode can greatly improve the safety of batteries without causing a significant deterioration in the battery performance.
