  • Patent number: 7286668
Abstract: This invention discloses a method of protecting copyright of a digital video work by using a digital password technology and a digital watermark technology to prevent the unauthorized use of a digital video work. Such method adds password protection of two chrominance arrays of such video work in advance, so that when such video work is published on the Internet, it can only be played in color by a specified player. As long as a user enters the correct password into the specified player, a full color visual effect of such video work can be obtained. If other players are used to play such video work, only a partial gray-scale visual effect can be obtained. Users must request or buy a specific player and a password from the distributor of such video work to play the complete information to prevent piracy.

  • Publication number: 20070146185
Abstract: Digital to Analog Conversion and sample conversion blocks are combined in order to reduce hardware and/or computational complexity. A novel DSM design is used to perform sample rate conversion. The DSM may also be used to perform other digital filtering functions, thus providing a single hardware/software technique to perform both functions. The invention includes a method and apparatus for converting input data samples provided at a first sample rate to an analog output signal. Input data samples are converted by a Delta Sigma Modulator (DSM) in a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) to output data samples, where internal states of the DSM are updated at a second sample rate unequal to the first sample rate. At least one internal state of the DSM s modified to account for the time difference in response to a new input sample arriving at a time different from an update of the internal states of the DSM.

  • Patent number: 7220043
Abstract: There is disclosed a backlight assembly for maximizing a light incidence efficiency by changing a construction of a light guide plate and a liquid crystal display device having the same. A light incidence surface of the light guide plate receiving a light from a lamp is inclined to make an obtuse angle with a light-emitting surface through which the light is transferred to the display unit. An open surface of a lamp cover that is disposed to face towards the light incidence surface is formed to have the same inclined angle as the light incidence surface of the light guide plate. In addition, a light reflecting plate and an optical sheet are respectively disposed on the top and bottom surfaces of the light guide plate, on which light absorbing layers, for absorbing light that leaks from the light guide plate, are formed at both ends thereof.
