    Abstract: There is provided a method for the fabrication of multilayer electroluminescence device, comprising the steps of: forming a lower electrode with a predetermined pattern on a substrate: forming a first insulation layer on the lower electrode atop the substrate; forming a multiply luminescent layer consisting of CaS and SrS on the first insulation layer at the same temperature with that for the first insulation layer; forming a second insulation film on the luminescent layer; and forming an upper electrode with a predetermined on the second insulation layer.In the multiply luminescent layer, a plurality of CaS plies and a plurality of SrS plies are formed in such a way that the CaS plies and the SrS plies alternate with each other and the outmost upper and lower plies are formed of CaS.The constituent substances for the multiply luminescent layer, CaS and SrS, can be deposited at the same temperature and have similar lattice constants which can lead to a matched interface between the CaS and SrS plies.

The lead-in area contains table-of-contents information which includes the number of recording tracks recorded on the disk and address information relating to each track. The program area contains index-table information which includes index numbers and starting addresses for a plurality of programs recorded on the disk. Furthermore, the plurality of programs are recorded in the program area according to its corresponding index number. Specifically, the programs are recorded from the innermost circumference to the outermost circumference of the disk in a tree structure based on the index numbers.

    Abstract: An unprocessed human immunodeficiency virus 2 (HIV-2) gag precursor protein, containing a deficient protease, assembles into virus-like particles by budding through the cytoplasmic domain of baculovirus-infected cells. Chimeric constructs were generated by coupling the truncated HIV-2 gag gene to the neutralizing domain (V3) or the neutralizing and CD4 binding domains (V3+CD4B) of gp120 env gene sequences obtained from HIV-1 or HIV-2. Virus-like particles were formed by chimeric gene products when the env gene sequences were linked to the 3' terminus of the gag gene. The gag-env chimeric proteins displayed immunoreactivity towards anti-gp120 rabbit antisera.

The method for displaying title and lyrics information using a video-song accompaniment apparatus enhances user convenience by displaying the title and associated lyrics for the first measure of a reserved song for verification before a currently performed song ends. A video-song accompaniment apparatus capable of performing this method is also described.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a scavenging shroud mechanism for improving scavenging of a 2-stroke engine, and more particularly to a scavenging shroud mechanism for improving scavenging of a 2-stroke engine which is constructed such that a scavenging shroud mechanism is provided to a scavenging valve whereby compressed air sucked into an interior of a combustion chamber makes a tumble phenomenon along with cylinder wall surface and thereby pushes out already burned burnt gas and simultaneously is capable of efficiently feeding new air so that efficient reverse loop scavenging system is made. The scavenging shroud mechanism has a baffle 2, shroud guide notch 3 and a shroud neck 4, and a fixed supporting pin 6 and a supporting guide 5 provided on the inner side of the intake manifold 9. A shroud guide notch 3 is provided in the baffle 2 so as to permit the scavenging shroud mechanism 1 to up and down-ward movement but not right and left rotational movement.

The preparation comprises linking gag of HIV-2 to env to form the chimeric gene, inserting the obtained chimeric gene into the DNA of a baculovirus, infecting insect cells or insect host with the resulting recombinant virus, culturing it and purifying the obtained chimeric protein. The gag chimeric protein of HIV according to the present invention retains both antigenic and immunogenic properties.

    Abstract: A baculovirus expression system capable of producing foreign gene proteins at high levels. The system involves the production of a recombinant baculovirus containing a modified foreign gene between the polyhedrin gene promoter region and the transcription termination signal of the polyhedrin structural gene. The modified foreign gene comprises a putative ribosome binding site immediately upstream of the foreign gene coding sequence, i.e. without any intervening non-coding sequences. The putative ribosome binding site is preferably properly positioned without the intervening sequences by a crossover linker mutagenesis procedure before the modified foreign gene is introduced into the virus. The putative ribosome binding site preferably comprises at least the final four nucleotides of the sequences ACCTATAAAT immediately upstream of the translation inibiation codon (ATG) of the foreign gene.
