    Abstract: A method for preparing a polyetherimide/polyester blend chip includes providing a composition. The composition includes a polyetherimide powder and a polyester powder. The polyetherimide powder has a variable diameter in a range of 10 ?m to 600 ?m. The polyester powder has a variable diameter in a range of 10 ?m to 600 ?m and a limiting viscosity in a range of 0.85 dl/g to 1.10 dl/g. Then, performing a powder dispersion treatment on the composition. The composition undergoes melt compounding after performing the powder dispersion treatment. The composition is next pelletizing melt compounding.

    Abstract: A CT scanner and method of operating the CT scanner enables customized automated selection of tube current and peak tube voltage for a CT scan. The CT scanner receives data, each datum of which corresponds to a reference image quality (noise level at a certain tube voltage) for patient water equivalent diameter (“WED”) body size. The CT scanner then stores the noise level and patient WED, and a processor in the CT scanner generates a curve corresponding to acceptable noise levels as a function of water equivalent diameter. The CT scanner stores the curve in a memory associated with the scanner and the CT scanner is subsequently operated with reference to the curve stored in the memory. The tube voltage that can generate the reference CT scan quality (signal-to-noise ratio) with the lowest radiation dose to the patient is selected.

    Abstract: A land grid array (LGA) socket apparatus includes an LGA socket, with two guide rails provided respectively on the inner sides of two opposite side walls of the socket. The height of the top surface of each guide rail from the socket's bottom is greater than the height of socket terminals from the socket's bottom. The length of each guide rail is smaller than the length of the sidewall's inner side. The guide rails support at least two protrusions provided at corners at opposite sides of an integrated circuit chip assembly when the assembly is slid into the socket from a side. The guide rails, when the assembly is slid to the end of the guide rail, enable the at least two protrusions to fall into the gaps between the ends of the guide rail and the respective socket end walls to install the assembly in the socket.
