Abstract: The invention relates to a fast signal selector having a plurality of transfer gates which are connected in parallel. The input signals are applied to the signal inputs of the transfer gates and a selection signal is applied to control inputs of the transfer gates. Due to the switching properties of the transfer gates, the input signals can be switched through onto a common output line essentially without any power loss and with a very short time delay of approximately 20 ps.

Abstract: A drain current of an FET (4) is controlled to control an output of a buzzer (11), and a gate voltage of the FET (4) is controlled by an operational amplifier (3) for changing a source output of the FET (4) into an inverted input. By such a negative feedback circuit structure, a path for controlling a buzzer output is set to be one system and stability of the buzzer output can be enhanced. A variable power supply (2) for changing an output in accordance with control data of a logic section (1) is set to be a non-inverted input of the operational amplifier (3). Consequently, it is possible to obtain a circuit structure which does not depend on the number of bits of the control data.

Abstract: A device for the regeneration of a clock signal from an external serial bus includes a ring oscillator and counter. The ring oscillator provides n phases of a clock signal. Of these n phases, one phase is used as a reference and is applied to the counter. It is thus possible to count the number of entire reference clock signal periods between a first pulse and a second pulse received from the bus. In reading the state of the phases in the oscillator upon reception of the second pulse, a determination is made for a current phase corresponding to the phase delay between the reference clock signal and the second pulse of the bus. By using a regeneration device that also includes a ring oscillator and a counter, it is possible to regenerate the clock signal of the bus with high precision.

Abstract: A delay circuit using MOS transistors for use of load capacitance which produces a stable delay effect for variations in signal voltage is provided. A gate of a P-type MOS transistor for load capacitance and a gate of an N-type MOS transistor for load capacitance are connected to a signal line. A resistor and CMOS inverters are used to apply a boosted voltage higher than a supply voltage VDD to a source-drain of the P-type MOS transistor for load capacitance and a substrate voltage lower than a ground voltage to a source-drain of the N-type MOS transistor for load capacitance. As a result, a gate voltage range for allowing the MOS transistors for load capacitance to have a capacitance is extended, and a stable delay effect is assured for a widened variation of signal current flowing on the signal line.

The circuit is built with a coupling network, connected to a terminal of said SPAD biased at high voltage and a comparator. Said network is designed so that the differentiation time constant, introduced by said block, is less than the total duration of the avalanche current pulse, but longer than the risetime of said pulse (FIG. 5 and FIG. 8). Abstract: A digital demodulator which demodulates information signals that have been phase-modulated using a method such as PSK (Phase Shift Keying). The adder 46 adds a compensation value held by the phase compensator 45 to phase difference data outputted from the comparator 43. The subtractor 47 subtracts phase difference data delayed by the delaying circuit 44 by one information symbol period from the sum of the phase difference data and the compensation value from the adder 46, thus performing delay detection. With this digital demodulator, an input signal can be received and demodulated even if its frequency is not an integral division of the frequency of a master clock signal, and an oscillator can be used even if its frequency is not an integral multiple of the frequency of an input signal to be demodulated.

Abstract: A pager transceiver and method for selectively paging provides a page to a paging transceiver but does not automatically provide associated information. The paging transceiver receives the page and alerts the user that information is waiting and preferably provides a short description of the information. The user can then download or otherwise act on the information at a time and at a place convenient to the user. The user can therefore place the paging transceiver in a location where it can easily receive and reply to the message. The paging system conserves air time and the paging transceiver conserves memory by not automatically receiving the associated messages. The messages stored by the systems and delivered to the paging transceiver may be of different types, such as voice, text, audio, or even video. In addition to messages, the paging system can store other information for the user, such as songs or video clips that the user can sample or updates on weather or stock rates.

Abstract: The information recording tag includes an IC module in which an IC chip and a resonance circuit which is composed of a film capacitor and of an antenna coil are packaged on a substrate, and an adhesive that is applied to the IC module in order to adhere said IC module to an adherend S. The adhesive force between the adhesive and the adherend S is greater than the adhesive force between the insulation film of the film capacitor and the film type electrodes. The information recording tag, that is affixed to a prescribed adherend and used, can be destroyed if an attempt is made to remove it from its adherend after the information recording tag has been affixed to an adherend, in order to prevent improper usage of the information recording tag.

Abstract: An alarm system for sending distress information over a communication link includes a sensor to be worn by a user. Distress information is transmitted from the sensor when the user is in a predetermined position indicative of an emergency, when the user moves outside of a predetermined safety area, when the power supply supplying power to the sensor is low, when the user voluntarily activates the sensor, and when the user is not wearing the sensor. In response to the distress information, audio and/or video communication between the user and personnel monitoring the user at a remote central office is provided in response to the distress information.

Abstract: A rollover sensor for a vehicle continuously determines the inclination of a vehicle in at least one axis. In order to cancel drift deviations in the sensor, the inclination is average in the at least one axis, continuously along a defined route. The formed average value is assumed as the zero position. Inclination of the vehicle due to inclination of the road surface is compensated based on variations in ambient air pressure indicative of changes in altitude.

Abstract: A circuit and apparatus for magnetically sensing fluid flow and applying voltage to a load has a spring loaded check valve disposed within a conduit and provided with a magnetic shield. A magnet is located on one side of the magnetic shield while a sensor, associated with the valve, is located on the opposite side of the magnetic shield. The check valve, and hence the magnetic shield, moves to permit fluid flow. When the magnetic shield moves due to fluid flow, the magnet activates the sensor. A load control circuit includes a supply terminal for receiving a supply voltage and a detector which detects a condition requiring the operation of a load. The detector causes a threshold voltage to be generated from the supply voltage, and a time delay controller controls the time required to generate the threshold voltage.
