Abstract: The present invention provides a new power switch apparatus design. Under this kind of design, a blue tooth module is placed in this power switch apparatus which receives signal from blue tooth control device. Control devices having blue tooth module may make up a wireless link to the power switch apparatus of this present invention. These devices having a blue tooth controllable function can remotely monitor and control the power switch of the power switch apparatus. On the other hand, the power switch apparatus may send the power consumption information itself to the a device that has a blue tooth controllable function. Therefore, the present invention's apparatus may provide a two-way communication between the power switch apparatus and the control device having blue tooth module.

Abstract: A synchronous CDMA telemetry system is provided for use in a wellbore. In one described embodiment, each data bit of digital outputs of multiple downhole data sources is multiplied by an orthogonal code unique to each data source. The resulting encoded outputs are modulated on a carrier frequency and summed on a transmission channel. The resulting signal is demodulated at a remote location and separately multiplied by each of the codes to separate out the contributions to the signal from each data source. The individual demodulated and decoded outputs are then integrated over the length of each data bit.

Abstract: A temperature tag and system for sensing and reporting an internal temperature reading inside a container. The temperature tag mounts on an outside surface of the container, and a shaft with a temperature sensor extends through the side of the container and senses the internal temperature reading. A plurality of readings may be recorded at a predefined sampling rate and stored in a data memory. The temperature tag then sends the temperature readings to a reader device that presents the temperature readings to a user. The reader device may trigger the temperature tag to send the temperature readings with a signal such as an infrared (IR) signal, a radio frequency (RF) signal, and the like. The temperature readings may be analyzed in the temperature tag, the reader device, or may be downloaded to a computer to determine if an alarm condition exists.

Abstract: The present invention provides for delivering information, such as a notification or other content, to a select communication device when defined event and location criteria are satisfied. A profile is established to define the event and location criteria along with a method for delivering the information. Typically, the receipt of event indicia indicating the occurrence of an event is compared with the event criteria in the profile. When the event indicia satisfies the event criteria, location indicia is gathered and compared with the defined location criteria. Alternatively, a trigger corresponding to location is received and compared with the location criteria before determining whether an event corresponding to the event criteria is satisfied. When both the event occurrence and location indicia match the event and location criteria, the information is sent to the appropriate communication device.

Abstract: A data acquisition system uses an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that includes a prediction feedback element. Using the computing power of a digital signal processor, the system predicts the next sample of the target signal based on pre-defined rules and previous samples. This digital prediction is converted to an analog signal using a digital-to-analog converter (DAC). An analog error summer compares the predicted signal with the target signal and creates an error signal. The digital signal processor uses the prediction error to more accurately predict the next sample. A negative feedback loop is thus formed by this system to drive the prediction error toward zero. Operating on the relatively small error signal in the forward and feedback paths enhances the conversion performance and data transfer efficiency.

Abstract: A plasma display panel that minimizes the power consumption required for driving the PDP is disclosed. A reset pulse of a ramp-down waveform supplied in a reset period goes down to a voltage level higher than a negative scan reference voltage, and is kept for a specified period. Also, a sustain pulse voltage level of a selective erase type sub-field is provided with a voltage level relatively higher than the sustain pulse provided from the selective write type sub-field, or a reset pulse of a ramp-up waveform that goes from a maximum voltage level of the ramp-up waveform down to a ground voltage level or more is supplied to a scan electrode as well as a selective erase scan pulse descends from a predetermined selective erase scan voltage level to the ground level or more. Therefore, the data driving voltage is minimized, and the display state is stabilized.

Abstract: With the present invention, there is provided a driving method that favorably drives an electron source, which is driven in a passive matrix manner, without being affected by a disturbance. There is also provided an image-forming apparatus that uses this electron source. An anode electrode having a constant potential is arranged over a plurality of electron-emitting devices including gate electrodes and cathode electrodes. During passive matrix driving of the electron source where the amount of electrons to be emitted is adjusted by modulating potentials between the cathode electrodes and the gate electrodes, a predetermined time difference is maintained between the driving of signal lines in a group and the driving of signal lines in another group during the driving of signal lines divided into N groups after selection of scanning lines.
