Abstract: A utensil for handling sensitive material is disclosed. The utensil includes a pair of pockets for receiving a user's hand and being formed of a flexible material, wherein each of the pockets has an open end, a closed end and two sides. One side of each pocket is flat and arranged in opposition to the other, thereby forming opposing sides. A hinge joins together the pair of pockets at the opposing sides and at the open ends thereof. The hinge biases the pockets in a closed position such that the pair of pockets are separable by the user for gripping the sensitive material with the opposing sides at the closed ends of the pockets.

  • Publication number: 20030131400
Abstract: For the present we register a hybrid Inner Cushion for Helmets based on a Composite Foam sandwiched between two foils. The cushions or paddings used in the last century by helmets manufacturers (mainly made with expanded polystyrene, EPS or expanded polypropylene, EPP) absorb impacts by elastic deformation of the material, producing a significant bounce back after being compressed. The composite foams of the present invention avoid the ‘bounce back on head’ effect by converting a large fraction of the incoming kinetic energy in plastic deformation of the material. Thus, the ‘bounce effect’ or ‘counter-coup lesions’, which largely enhance the first impact brain damage, can be greatly reduced. Two covering foils, either made by a metal (i.e. aluminum) or a combination of a metal and a polymer (i.e. mylar), protect the cushion material against environment and other eventual damaging agents.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved structure of a spiral draining roller, characterized in that a plurality of interlaced diagonal partition blocks, and having a design of spiral stairway draining grooves. By the simultaneous rolling of both the front and rear rollers while squeezing the water absorbing foam, drainage is provided for the dirty water to flow outwards towards either side of the grooves. In doing so, it further increases the effect of draining the dirty water by the left and right wings simultaneously and completely.

Abstract: The invention is a cleaning apparatus for cleaning elongated and cylindrical filters, commonly referred to as pleated bag filters or pleated bag replacements for fabric sock filter bags, that are open on one end and closed on the other end. The filter is being rotated within a hermetically sealed cleaning chamber. air jets are reciprocated along the length of the filter in close proximity to a circumference of the cylindrical filter. The cleaning chamber is provided with a negative air pressure while the interior of the rotating filter is supplied with a positive air pressure. The air jets tend to loosen and remove the dirt from within the pleats of the filter which dirt is carried away by the negative pressure within the cleaning chamber.
