Abstract: A turbo-charged internal combustion cylinder assembly includes a combustion chamber which may be communicably connected to a compressor via an intake port through an intake manifold and aftercooler so the compressor may provide pre-combustion gases to the combustion chamber when the intake valve is open. An exhaust port communicably connects the combustion chamber to an exhaust manifold. An exhaust valve may open to exhaust post-combustion gases to the exhaust manifold while an intake valve is substantially closed, and the exhaust valve may open to admit post-combustion gases to the combustion chamber while the intake valve is substantially open and an exhaust port pressure in the exhaust port is higher than a combustion chamber pressure in the combustion chamber. A fuel injector may admit fuel to the combustion chamber.

The evaporator and the cold-storage heat exchanger are disposed in series in a refrigerant flow. When the compressor is operated, the cold storage material is cooled by low-pressure refrigerant in a cold storage mode. When the operation of the compressor is stopped, refrigerant circulates between the evaporator and the cold-storage heat exchanger, so that refrigerant evaporated in the evaporator is cooled and liquefied by the cold storage material in a cold release mode. Abstract: The problem of controlling the temperature of the different units in a process tool system which have to be cooled or heated using thermal transfer fluid at selected setpoints and flow rates is resolved by a system having multiple modular units each with some operative and form factor commonality but at least dual functional capability. The modular units each have separate recirculation loops for thermal transfer fluid but cool the fluid using refrigeration cycles or facilities water supplies or heat the fluid using compressed hot gases or electrical energy. By employing operative units which can be internally varied to provide different thermal capacities within form factor constraints, the system enables concurrent temperature control needs of a number of different units to be met with an energy efficient, low footprint, highly adaptable system.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a dual phase condenser system, including an air-cooled portion, a water-air-cooled portion and a fan. The air-cooled portion can be further divided into two sectors, wherein the external air, drawn by the fan, passing through the second sector of the air-cooled portion first then to the water-air-cooled portion. The ability of air absorbing water vapor can be increased significantly in the water-air-cooled portion due to the increase of vapor pressure deficit (VPD) of the air passing through the air-cooled portion of the condenser. The dual phase condenser system of this invention is a 3-stage air-cooled condenser when shortage of water occurred. By separating gaseous and liquid refrigerants, the ability of removing thermal energy of the refrigerants can be increased. This invention required no extra fans, thus the EER can be increased when compared with the traditional one stage or patented two-stage air-cooled condenser.

The evaporator employs an evaporator body having spiral grooves cut or milled into its outer cylindrical surface and a cylindrical jacket disposed over the spiral groove formed on the outer cylindrical surface of the evaporator body, with the jacket being in interference-fit engagement against the groove of the evaporator body. Abstract: An apparatus for decoding locks having a series of parallel spring-urged slideable members includes a probe device having the general contour of a key expected to fit the lock. The probe device has a shank portion having straight upper and lower edges. A series of thin force sensors supplied with electrical current is attached to at least the upper edge of the shank in a spaced apart relationship corresponding to the spacing of the slideable members. When the probe device is inserted into the lock, the spring associated with each slideable member exerts a force upon the corresponding sensor which is proportionate to the requisite travel distance of the slideable member. Such force is converted by the sensor to an appropriate electrical output which is routed to an electronic monitor that displays the ascertained travel distance for each slideable member.

Abstract: A variable tubular lock comprising a lock body and a key is disclosed. The lock body comprises a casing, a lower pin seat inserted in the casing, a spindle provided with an upper pin seat, a plurality of springs and plural sets of cylindrical upper pins and cylindrical lower pins. This variable tubular lock is characterized in that the inner edge of a keyhole in the casing is provided with one or more protruding blocks, axial grooves for the protruding block passing through and an annular groove for receiving the protruding block and spinning the key. With this structure, the tubular lock can be prevented itself from being unlocked by a common unlocking device. Further, with the number and the position arrangement of the protruding blocks and the axial grooves, the variation of the lock codes can be substantially increased and thus the security of the tubular lock is significantly improved.

Abstract: A lock apparatus includes a housing having a cylindrical bore formed therein and a cam rotatably mounted in the housing. A cylindrical sleeve having a notch formed therein rotatably mounts in the bore of the housing. A cylinder core inserts into the sleeve and engages the cam. The core including multiple tumblers and the housing has a corresponding number of drivers biased toward the bore and engaging the tumblers through the notch and aligned along the periphery of the bore when a proper key is inserted. When the sleeve is rotated, the drivers are captured in their bores, allowing the core to be easily removed without a tube or special tools and providing for simple rekeying.

Abstract: A method for producing components from a blank (1) made of a reshapable material, particular steel, in which the blank (1) is supported by a fluid cushion (F) against a shaping tool (5) during the deformation, and a device particularly intended for performing this method are disclosed. In the course of the method, the blank (1) is reshaped into an intermediate shape using the tool (5). Subsequently, the blank (1) deformed into the intermediate shape is locally deformed using a counter mold piece (6) which is moved against the blank (1) against the action direction (R) of the tool (5). In this way, exactly shaped components may be produced cost effectively without the danger of reduction in quality.

Abstract: A coil spring forming system allows for forming reduced diameter ends at both ends of a coil spring in a single forming process. A rotating member supports one end of the coil spring and preferably includes a die portion that establishes a configuration of that end of the coil spring. A pitch controlling device guides the coil stock longitudinally along the axis of the spring as the rotating member rotates to establish the desired pitch of the coil spring. A moving mandrel member is guided along an axis of the coil spring so that the mandrel member and the pitch controlling member establish the desired diameter of the spring at the corresponding portion of the spring. The mandrel member preferably has a forming surface with a varying outside dimension so that, depending on the placement of the mandrel relative to the coil stock and the pitch controlling member, the diameter of the resulting coil spring can be varied along the length of the spring.

Abstract: A coil spring forming system includes a mandrel having at least a portion that is selectively expandable so that a central portion of a resulting coil spring has a larger dimension than reduced diameter end sections of the spring. In one example, a plurality of coil shaping surfaces are supported relative to a central portion of the mandrel using a plurality of linkages. The coil shaping surfaces are moved using an actuator (i.e., hydraulic or pneumatic) between expanded and contracted positions to selectively vary the largest outside dimension of the mandrel. In one example, the coil shaping surfaces are spaced apart from each other in the expanded position. In another example, the coil shaping surfaces are arranged such that the mandrel has a generally continuous outer periphery when the surfaces are in the expanded position.

Abstract: A process for shaping a high strength container, particularly an aerosol container and a container obtained through such process. Generally, aerosol containers made of aluminum or tin are obtained by conventional embedding processes from sheet disks and have cylindrical bodies with upper tapering finishing at a curl for fixing a valve cover and are closed by convex and profiled cross section bottoms, for forming a support region for upstanding the container. The bottom of such containers is obtained before tapering by means of a blow or front shock once the cylindrical body having planar circular base is shaped, this impact causing undesirable stresses on the body side wall and material accumulation at the annular region joining with this wall since the bottom thickness is not uniform.
