Abstract: An apparatus for conveying a substrate or sheet through a printing machine comprises a drive roller and a baffle assembly forming a path for the substrate past the drive roller. The baffle assembly includes an idler roller having an axle rotatably supported within the baffle assembly to cooperate with the drive roller to exert a nip force on the substrate. A nip spring connected to the baffle assembly bears against a bushing carrying the idler roller axle to exert a nip force on the idler roller. A nip force adjustment apparatus is mounted within the baffle assembly and is operable to apply an adjustment force on the bushing of the idler roller to augment the nip force generated by the nip spring.

The cover body is openable and closable relative to the table and covers the glass when closed. In the engaged and disengaged positions, the claw is engaged with, and disengaged from, the engagement portion, respectively. The mechanism has a solenoid and an interlock member. The solenoid has a plunger movable between locking and unlocking positions according to an input driving signal. The member allows, only with the plunger in the unlocking position, the claw to be moved from the engaged position to the disengaged position in association with pivot movement of the handle from the nonoperational position to the operational position.

When it is determined that there is no abnormality in the conveyance of sheets to a processing tray (630), a finisher control section (501) causes a bundle of sheets stacked on the processing tray (630) to be discharged onto a stack tray (700), whereas when it is determined that there is abnormality in the conveyance of sheets to the processing tray (630), the finisher control section (501) causes the bundle of the sheets stacked on the processing tray (630) to be discharged onto a sample tray (701).

A stacking tray on the upper side has a plurality of lower limit positions and uses a lower limit position located on the upper side when normal mode is selected. On the other hand, it uses a lower limit position located on the lower side when the large capacity stacking mode is selected. Abstract: The sheet conveyance apparatus includes a controller which controls a moving unit. The moving unit moves a sheet conveyance unit for conveying a sheet toward a direction intersecting with a sheet conveyance direction. The controller performs the control such that a moving speed of a shift moving unit is reduced when a shift amount of the sheet discharged from an image forming apparatus main body is small. Therefore, generation of a noise and vibration can be suppressed to save electric power consumption. When the shift amount of the sheet is large, the moving speed of the shift moving unit can be increased to shorten an operation time necessary to the movement.

Abstract: A device for depositing sheets for a printing machine. The invention provides a device, which, while safely guiding sheets, is, at the same time, relatively complex and can still be configured in a largely open and accessible manner. The device is characterized by a transport path segment for the sheets, the path branching in the region of influence of a rotating transport member, whereby the transport member itself forms a part of the boundary of the transport path segment, and whereby an adjustable switch is provided in the branching region. The switch is used to enable a path for a sheet transported through the transport path segment in transport direction after a part of the transport path segment bordered by the transport member in order for the sheet to leave the region of influence of the rotating transport member, or to enable a path for a guiding deflection by the transport member acting as the deflecting member.

Abstract: A mask is mounted on a video game controller to enhance the interaction of its graphics with the game player and the graphic effect of the game. The controller has a curved contour and the shape of the mask matches the contour so the mask its over the surface of the controller. The mask also has openings or windows for providing access to the buttons/rollers for operating the controller. Attachment means secures the mask to the controller. Locating means positions the mask so the openings or windows therein remain aligned with the buttons/rollers. Preferably, graphics in the form of game instructions and/or game related theme imagery are applied to the surface of the mask. To increase the surface area of the mask for the graphics it can be provided with an integral overhang or a separate visor.

The rules have been simplified resulting in a simpler and shorter game. A player's total arsenal consists of eight knights, three pawns and one king, forcing intensive use of the knights. This in turn improves a player's skill level and coordinated use of the knights when playing chess normally. This inventive training method is suitable for beginner or chess master. Enabling this is a permanently demarked area on the new board called the ‘kings vale’ governing the kings movements while providing limited shelter to an opponent piece and is the area for ‘knighting’ or adding knights to a players pieces.

The inductive interface generates an electromagnetic field between the source and the device without these items being in physical contact. Both electrical power and data are transferable through the electromagnetic field.
